About this house rental
Real holiday home of 137 m2, in a typical and quiet hamlet, 400m from the most beautiful sandy beach of the island (7 min walk, 3 min by bike).
The house is very functional, easy to live in. Very bright, decorated with taste and simplicity, 5 Bedrooms, pretty sunny courtyard.3 showers, 2 separate toilets.
The courtyard has a barbecue and a plancha, out of sight. Pretty flowered alleys. Near the Phare des Baleines, a place to visit absolutely. At the end of the island, the wildest part. Sheets and towels can be rented directly. During the school holidays, rentals are for 3-4 days.
During the summer holidays, the concierge manages the entry and exit times.

Le Gillieux was the perfect choice for our short 3 night stay on the Il-de-Re. Perfectly situated for access to one of the island's best beaches and the Lighthouse, restaurants & cafes. The house suited us perfectly too; it was clean and very well appointed - comfortable living space, quiet & private outside space. Beds were also comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and modern. I would highly recommend this house to anyone thinking of staying at the end of the island. The only things I can say that weren't as perfect as the house, was having to either bring your own bed linen or rent it (which can be easily arranged through the owner/housekeeper) - and also the parking. I managed to avoid a ticket (just! The policeman was very helpful!) and finding overnight parking nearby isn't the easiest, and roughly 200m away. Otherwise, a really enjoyable couple of days on the island.

Maison chaleureue, lumineuse. Un endroit calme ou le poele en hivers permet de passer des moments très confortables dans le séjour et dans les canapés
