Highly recommended in a perfect position in the old town

Spacious, well equipped and comfortable house in the middle of the old town and literally a few moments walk from Rue de Lille with all its bars and restaurants. Typical French style and furnishings, with a modern kitchen. Having two shower rooms and separate WCs is very useful for larger groups. It was nice that the owner met us to explain everything, and communication was excellent.

Nothing. We have stayed here before and will definitely come again. The house has quite steep narrow stairs which may present difficulty for anyone with mobility issues. The details mentioned that the house has parking, but while it is possible to pull up outside the house to unload baggage, the parking is in a paid site approx 100 m away (0.80 Euro/hour). There's also no outside space.

Great base for exploring a very interesting town and surrounding area.

Lovely traditional house on 3 floors. Terrific location, in the middle of the old town, and close to bars, restaurants etc. Extremely well-equipped kitchen.

There was nothing we disliked about the property. The only negative was caused by Booking.com's information - our arrival time was 'after 18.00', but the host thought we were arriving at 19.00, with the result that there was no-one there to meet us. It was sorted out with a phone call, but the company should be aware of time differences between countries!

An easily accessible, well equipped and excellently located house!

Amazing location in the heart of the old town, right next to the cathedral. Delightful bars and restaurants bustling just around the corner, but a very quiet street. The house itself is charming, well equipped and 2 minutes from the (free!) car park so very easy with bags. We very much enjoyed our stay!

We struggled to make the fridge cold, but otherwise the house was perfect for our needs!

A very well-maintained and very well equipped house in a beautiful part of Boulogne

A lovely lady was waiting for us at the arranged time and showed us around the house and its facilities. We were in the old part of Boulogne and the property was in a lovely quiet street which didn't allow for parking, but there was a large free Car Park just a few minutes walk away so we were able to unload our bags, etc. outside the door of the property and then park up.

The property has three floors with a spiral staircase which is lovely and quirky, but perhaps might not be suitable for an older visitor who may not not be as sprightly on their feet.

Great stay in a lovely property in a fantastic location.

The location in the middle of the Haute Ville was perfect for exploring the area. It was close to boulangeries and restaurants as well as being an ideal base for visiting Nausicaa (a must!). The house is laid out over three floors (via very curly wurly stairs- not suitable for those with mobility issues) with comfortable bedrooms and living area. The host was amenable and we were met by a very lovely Madame who explained everything to us.

There was a lack of mugs and bowls for the number of people it could host. (6 bowls for an 8 person property)

Great house, fabulous location!

The location was fantastic, right in the middle of the old city centre, very close to the restaurants. The shops are a 15 minute walk and the beach about 30 minutes. Parking was free and close to the house. The house was nice and clean. The kitchen is very well equipped. The sleeping rooms were nice, the beds were made and the beds slept well. Also, we expected that there was 1 bathroom, but actually there is 1 bathroom with shower and toilet, and then there's another separate toilet and a separate bathroom with shower, and towels were included. The value for money was fabulous!

Just minor things: The beds make quite a loud squaky noise when you move. Also, the patio doesn't have windows, and there is no outdoor space.

The cottage has a cosy feel. Like staying in someone's home. Location inside walled town is excellent. Bedrooms are very atmospheric as are winding stairs. We had a lovely stay.

Exceptional

Perfect location in the heart of the fortified old town, with bakeries, bars, restaurants, a creperie and souvenir shops - and the cathedral - less than a minute's walk from the front door. Four good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms - a must when travelling with teenagers! Even a little patio out back, indoors but with two big Velux windows to let in the natural light. Kitchen had everything we needed, including - hallelujah! - a normal coffee machine (not pods). Big fridge freezer and super fast oven.

For our needs, everything was perfect. The very steep spiral staircase was fine for us but would be tricky for anyone with mobiliy issues (the house is on three floors).

Perfect experience, nothing to complain.

The host made it very easy to get the keys, added a lot of value to the experience. The house was impeccable, everything was so clean. There were no faults in the house, even if we tried to find something wrong with it we wouldn't be able to find one. Will keep an eye open for this house next time we go to this part of the country.

Een leuk huis in een leuke buurt!

We waren met vier vrienden op wandelreis: we liepen de GR 120. Daarvoor kozen we Boulogne en dit huis als uitvalsbasis. Dit was een goede keuze! Het huis is centraal gelegen, in het oude stadsdeel van Boulogne, met een bakker en restaurantjes in de buurt. Om het hoekje is een betaalparking, maar ook een vrije parking, als je een beetje geluk hebt! We werden vriendelijk ontvangen door Marie-Jo die ons de nodige informatie gaf. Het huis heeft vier slaapkamers. Als je dus met vier vrienden reist, is dit ideaal, ieder zijn eigen kamer! Het huis is rustig gelegen, geen last van verkeer of ander lawaai. Het huis is ook gerieflijk ingericht met keuken, eetkamer en zithoek/tv-hoek! Ook de slaapkamers waren prima, we hebben goed geslapen!

We kookten zelf en merkten dat het kookgerief wel een update kan gebruiken: we misten bv. een pollepel om de soep uit te scheppen, een mixer, en een goede pan misten we ook.

Vieze geur

Het huis is erg centraal gelegen in het centrum van de oude stad. Alle bezienswaardigheden zijn op wandelafstand, net zoals vele cafés en restaurants. De gastheer was gemakkelijk te bereiken en flexibel wat betreft de aankomsttijd. Bij aankomst werden we opgewacht door de huishoudster die ons de sleutel gaf en het huis liet zien. (Zij sprak enkel Frans!) In de keuken was alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Wij hadden geluk met het parkeren en vonden nog de laatste vrije plaats op één van de weinige, kleine gratis parkings in de buurt.

Toen wij er waren, hing er in het hele huis helaas een erg doordringende rioolgeur die niet verdween door de ramen lange tijd open te zetten of water te laten lopen door de afvoerputjes. Daarnaast was er ook een nog viezere geur in de woonkamer achteraan (die eigenlijk een overdekt oud koertje is), die nauwelijks verlucht kon worden en veel te klein was voor vijf mensen. De geur daar was echt niet te harden. Omdat wij geen zin hadden om onze vakantie te verdoen aan heen en weer bellen en wachten op werklieden, hebben wij pas achteraf de eigenaar ingelicht en die zou er naar laten kijken, maar wij hebben onze vakantie een dag eerder afgebroken dan voorzien, want de geur was echt niet uit te houden. We snappen niet goed dat dit - volgens de eigenaar - nog nooit eerder voorgevallen was. Verder was het huis wel ok, maar erg rommelig, zeker de keuken. Sommige handdoeken, die zeker wel gewassen waren, hadden vlekken of gaten, net als sommige lakens. Eigenlijk zou de inrichting van het huis eens helemaal opnieuw gedaan moeten worden. Parkeren in de buurt is grotendeels betalend, maar in tegenstelling tot de beschrijving, is het tarief 1,30 euro per uur. Toevoeging: meteen na het plaatsen van deze recensie kregen wij van de eigenaar vrij agressieve sms'en met de vraag om onze commentaar aan te passen. Ik heb dat beleefd geweigerd, maar vond het toch nuttig dit hier toe te voegen als informatie.

Prachtige plek!

De ligging was super! Gelijk in het centrum, dichtbij de kerk en cafeetjes/ eetgelegenheden! Vriendelijke gastvrouw, goed contact! Mevrouw praat alleen Frans overigens. Parkeren in de buurt (parkeerplaats Mariette). Ruime accommodatie met ruime slaapkamers.

Er is geen buiten. En ook de ventilatie is matig. Niet aanwezig in de badkamer of toilet. Geluid van de meeuwen ;-)

Super mooie locatie in het centrum van de historische binnenstad. Super vriendelijk ontvangst door de dame die de sleutel af gaf. Alles is op wandelafstand. Gratis parking vlakbij. Zeer snelle en vriendelijke communicatie met de host. Zeker een locatie en accommodatie om naar terug te komen.

Host spreekt geen andere taal dan Frans terwijl dit wel anders is aangegeven op de website van booking, maar dit doet echt niets af aan hoe geweldig de accommodatie was. We zouden meteen weer boeken. Top verblijf!

Excellent ! Maison qui convient parfaitement pour une grande famille.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au sein de cette maison. Nous étions 2 couples avec 2 enfants et 1 bébé ; la maison est spacieuse et confortable. Très bonne literie (lits douillets, oreillers confortables). Gros + dans la chambre des enfants avec une barrière supplémentaire pour le lit superposé et une veilleuse.
