This is NOT a 4 star hotel. Rooms smelled like cigarette, carpet had a stain for a friend, was not very clean. Location

Location is close to train station. And is relatively cheap.

Room was not the same as the one I booked. Room smelled like cigarette. Toilet was not fully cleaned and had a weird smell. Air conditioner was not clean. Plastic cards for room entry did not work for 3 persons in our group and had to go down and get a new card or a key to enter the room.

The breakfast was good. The most valuable is the professionalism and kindness of the reception staff ready to help at any time. The price is very good, and the location, comfort and tranquility is very appreciated. If I come back will choose this hotel again for sure.

The price of the breakfast is a little high for the buffet offered, in comparison to other hotels in Germany, I think.

• Good location, close to the central railway station and public transport. • Convenient for a short stay before catching a morning flight from Frankfurt airport. • To be honest, the reception guy in the morning tried to compensate for the issues I describe in the next section by offering free breakfast, but I didn’t have enough time to use it.

• No handwashing liquid in the bathroom upon arrival; it was promised for the morning but never delivered. • Difficult to reach reception when trying to report the issue. • No hot water in the morning due to ongoing construction. • To be honest, the reception guy in the morning tried to compensate for these issues by offering free breakfast, but I didn’t have enough time to use it.

Clean room, kind staff, and good location. And even better, the price was affordable. There was really nothing to complain about.

There were no big lights in the room, so it was a bit dark even if I turned all the lights on. But I guess it’s a minor con and doesn’t really matter.

Misogynistic reception

At 09:50, I contacted the reception to request an extension of my stay by one night. I was quoted a rate of €70, but I mentioned that I had found the same room on Booking.com for €45. The receptionist agreed to match the Booking.com price, and I confirmed that I wished to remain in the same room. However, around midday, I was disturbed three times within 20 minutes by a staff member knocking at my door. Despite informing him twice that I had extended my stay, he insisted the third time that I go to reception immediately. I had a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door, and this repeated interruption felt both invasive and unnecessary—especially considering that the hotel already had my personal details and credit card on file. When I went to the reception to finalize payment, I noticed I was being charged €54 instead of the agreed €45. I had to request a correction and a refund of the overcharge. This situation, combined with the previous disturbances, was quite frustrating. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have had an uncomfortable experience with this particular staff member. Despite being a repeat guest and a Booking.com Genius member, I often feel unwelcome when he is on duty. I have noticed a pattern of receiving downgraded rooms and an overall unprofessional attitude. On this occasion, he also made my visitor around 16:00 feel uncomfortable by questioning them inappropriately. As a woman travelling alone, I expect a welcoming and respectful environment. This individual’s behaviour made me feel quite the opposite.

Location and the vibe in the room

I booked this last minute and I guess the price was ok but my room smelled super smokey.. I also didn’t like the carpet on the floor. Just doesn’t seem sanitary to have a carpet in a hotel room. Location felt too far from nearest public tram but the positive things were that it was quite and the staff was really really nice

I contact the hotel for some information before my arrival, the staff was very fast and corporative I arrived early to the hotel, the reception offered me a very warm and nice welcoming and did his best to make ready a room for me. The breakfast was perfect , all fresh , I loved it very much Next trip to Frankfurt for sure it would be my first priority. I recomend Pearl Hotel for single or family trip
