What is there NOT to like- stunning. A cottage away from the noise of capetown with all the mod cons you need
We stayed in Teak cottage and recommend the views from here, and a lovely sheltered braai area

The layout of the park like settings and its location in the hills of Cape Town

Pool , safety, quiet, clean
Aircon was poorly maintained and didn’t work, but Ross did what he could to get partially running for out stay which was enough to cool the room to sleep

I loved the location, the tranquility of the area, the views and the fact that the cottages were well equipped.

The property is beautiful, peaceful, quiet, secure
The area gets windy and cold at night. We didn’t have warm blankets and only the main bedroom had air conditioning, so the nights were really cold. We requested blankets numerous times via WhatsApp and in person, with no luck. The property manager didn’t even bother to respond to our WhatsApp message - he simply blue ticked us. Although the property is breathtaking, the fact that our requests for blankets were ignored left a really bad taste in our mouths.

The estate is beautiful, wonderful wildlife, the tennis court was a nice addition for us and the estate security seemed good. Re the property we stayed in (Poplar Cottage), the beds were comfortable and the showers hot and spacious. We arrived in Cape Town early and the host allowed us to leave our luggage in a storage room, which was helpful, and said they would aim to have our cottage ready by 1-2pm.....
We arrived at 4pm and our cottage was still being cleaned. We had to wait outside for some time before we could get in. Cleanliness generally ok however I almost instantly noticed a used earbud in the middle of the bedroom floor. The cottage also didn't smell particularly fresh. The photos presented the cottage as charming, however in reality it is somewhat neglected. We found various small things broken or just not working (Broken handles, loose toilet seat, etc). As our stay progressed a strong sewage smell developed in the hall which spread to the kitchen and bedrooms. It really ruined our stay. I notified the host, who was quick to respond and apologise, however we had to live with the smell for the duration.

The terrain is absolutely stunning, with the view on the mountains and springboks roaming the gardens. The cottage itself was nice. It was comfortable.
Staff was absolutely lovely and helpfull, always a big smile.
You can reach down town Cape Town and the entire cape peninsula very easy.
The cottage can use a bit of updating. The upper bedroom only had a bath, in the middle of the room, which isnt very practical. It was a bit difficult to get the temperature right in the cottage.
But all of this isnt important in these surroundings, we will definitely come back.

The estate has a tranquil setting, with a mountain backdrop and is situated close to Hout Bay. Lovely to see some antelope walking freely on the estate. The estate is well maintained, and there is good security. Check-in was easy, Ross was prompt with his responses to our questions, and even accommodated us for an early check-in.
We booked 2x 6-sleeper units for a family weekend in Cape Town.
Unit 9 Rosewood lived up to the description and pictures on the websites, it was modern and well-appointed. It had a good living and lounge area with a fireplace which we used every night. Good value, and we would recommend this unit!
Unit 6 Oregon Pine, unfortunately, this unit was a disappointment. Although similarly priced to the other unit we booked, it looked and felt basic, somewhat ‘run-down’ and dated (not a great living area, and not enough seating - the only couch, a 2-seater, was sunken). There was also an electricity failure with the inverter electricity system on the last day of our stay, and it could not be restored for our remaining stay (our host Ross and we tried all options as best, but no joy). This was a bit of a disappointment as there was insufficient lighting that afternoon/evening and there was only one working plug point to charge our phones etc. Ross was able to offer us some additional latten torches which helped in the circumstances.

The location was very nice and a good jumping off point for many places in the Cape. The kitchen included sufficient cooking pots and utensils. It was very easy to enter and leave the complex when our two different groups wanted to go out and explore. Constantia village was close by for shopping and Hout Bay was close by for amazing views and restaurants.
The gardening and landscaping were very well done to maintain the beauty of the area. Loved the antelope who shared the property.

Backdoor difficult to open and close. No wood available for the fireplace.

The unique cabin style property with the fireplace to warm up in the cold winter evenings.
Nothing to dislike

A cosy cottage in a quite beautiful leafy setting. Feels like being far out in the countryside. Quite a few deer roaming on the property.
Because of the mountain and trees, the sun battles to get through and it can get cold. However there is air conditioning and a fireplace.
The only shower is upstairs which makes it difficult for the mobility impaired.
Also ensure the outdoor dustbins are locked because the baboons can cause havoc with them

Modern, clean and perfect set up. Excellent location to explore Cape Town from. Close to hiking trails and wine farms . Safe and beautiful surroundings. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend.

Beautiful grounds, lovely cottage. Great location within Cape Town, easy to organise car hire and Bolts to get to the centre and further afield. We had such a great stay in Cape Town. Staying here did not feel like you were in the middle of a city! Great swimming pool. Felt very safe.
Nothing, everything was wonderful!

The location and setting is beautiful. Nice to be out of the city and very peaceful. But still close driving to town.
The water pressure in cottage 16 was very low - it was hard to shower. That is the only thing we could fault.

We absolutely loved our stay in your cottage, it’s like being in paradise. It’s the perfect location, an easy drive to the airport, Waterfront, and to all the lovely shops, coffee shops and restaurants in Constantia. We felt so safe and our cottage had everything we needed!

The cottage is beautiful, quaint and serene, and the setting in the mountains is stunning. The buck strolling through the gardens, and the occasional visit from the squirrels was quite an experience.
Having little kids, we missed the convenience of a washing machine. We stayed for 4 nights and towels were only changed after 5 nights.

Very cute cottage and modern. Spacious and clean. It does get really cold though in the lounge even with fireplace but it’s okay just dress warm. The aircons in the rooms work really well and heat up the rooms 😀

Perfect location. Self catering. So pretty well furnished but could have one more chair in the lounge.
The scenery was beautiful, lovely clean pool but too cold to swim!
Extra chair in lounge. Extra cloths in kitcen.

The setting and total peace of the place. The resident Springboks.. Super sweet staff.
Azalea cottage is in need of some tlc. Worst bed ever. Don't think the mattress has ever been changed. The whole thing sinks in the middle. The living room furniture is extremely tired. There is a lovely communal pool with sun lounges. The lounges are extremely uncomfortable without mattresses. Not an umbrella in sight either. The saving grace of our cottage was the quiet. Not a sound to be heard.

I loved the resort. It feels like a forest getaway in a little stone cottage. Its nice and close to Hout Bay.
We stayed in unit 9 which is in serious need of a makeover. When there was load shedding nothing worked except the wifi. After 15 years of load shedding, one expects some sort of backup not just 2 battery operated torch lights for a double storey 3 bedroom house. One could not cook anything during load shedding as everything was electric. there were no gas appliances. There was a barbeque outside but it was raining and there was no wood provided. The rooms are small and the decor outdated. The bathroom had a damp mouldy smell and the towels were tiny. The alarm keypad bleeped all day and night after and during load shedding and had to be reset every time after load shedding to get it to stop. I would stay again but not at that unit. Ask for a different unit. Some have backup for load shedding athough they don't tell you this when you book so you are left high and dry if you are in a unit with no backup. These units are owned by different owners so its a bit of a lucky draw when being allocated a unit. The owners of no. 9 need to make more of an effort to keep up with the times.

Stunning quiet, green, natural location yet with proximity to major roads, tourist and retail features of Cape Town.
Only noise from nearby roads and traffic congestion only busy days.

Fantastic location - a few minutes to Hout Bay or Constantia. Feeling of being in the country - view of the mountains and lovely gardens. Quaint cottage feeling.
We had an issue with a wasp nest on the patio - this was resolved by hosts so pleased with that. In my view the unit is a bit small for 4 adults and one bathroom is a negative. However, the style of the cottage and environment offset this but it would be very nice for a couple, not the best for 4 adults.

Upgrading of our cottage has already started - I hope it continues into the living room area to make it a little cosier.
