Best ever dog friendly stay. Dog was allowed to wander freely in the secure grounds and was made welcome by the owners and staff.
The quinta was charming, as were our hosts. Beds in the twin room were a good size and extremely comfortable, rooms were lovely. Slight quirky. Tea/coffee/kettle/water provided. Free wifi. Plenty of good quality towels. The pool was perfect, with comfy sunloungers or tables in the shade. The suite had kitchen facilities, fridge, small hob - everything we needed to prepare a simple supper to enjoy in the lovely garden.
Dont stay in an old, working quinta without expecting idiosyncrasies. The plumbing made strange noises in the night, but that's what you get in a period property. Not quite as tranquil as we'd expected, there was a lot of noise until early evening from both outside the walls and from inside maintenance, but all more than compensated by the warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere.

The accommodation is situated in a beautiful area of Portugal. There is free parking onsite.
Our room was freezing cold on arrival. We had to turn on the heater, and it took HOURS to warm the room. We were uncomfortably cold. I wouldn't return here in winter, unfortunately.
Be aware that it is about 5km from Lousã centre, and taxis are not too easy to find. Better to have your own car.
