The breakfast was great, it was easy to get to, I also initially looked for a shower in the hallway, I didn't know what was in the room, but it's more convenient. The staff helped me. The price is budget.I am Ukrainian, and I liked your place.

it was cold, the blankets were thin, it was cold in the room, there was a little noise on the street. in the bathroom, if there was liquid gel or shampoo, in the shower, and if it's cool, at least a blanket

Great Location, Clean Facilities, and One Standout Staff Member

I’ve stayed twice at SafeStay Brussels and overall it’s a solid choice. The hostel is well-kept, secure, and in a fantastic central location—walking distance to attractions, shops, restaurants, and public transport. Staff member Jenny stood out for her kindness and professionalism. When a male guest mistakenly booked an all-female dorm, she went out of her way to find a solution instead of just turning him away. The dorms have privacy curtains, plenty of showers and bathrooms (two each in the 8-bed dorm), and free luggage storage for guests (€3 for non-guests). Overall: For a budget stay, it’s clean, comfortable, and safe, with a standout location and one exceptional staff member who made my experience memorable.

The hostel is not the most modern or spacious. The elevator and common areas are small, and the breakfast room has limited amenities—no sink or tap to refill water bottles.

I don't recommend this hostel!

Location

This was without a doubt the worst hostel I've ever stayed in my entire life! First of all, the photo that suggests being the hostel is not. In reality, it's a small door in the middle of the block. The hotel is filthy, old, with loose planks. The elevator didn't work any day, there is no air conditioning, and the windows don't open. The mattress is so bad and thin that you can feel the planks underneath! The sheets smell of mold! The bunk bed is completely loose. The breakfast is just a handful of poor-quality items. I absolutely do not recommend it!

A cozy little adventure with friendly vibes, good memories, and just a few bumps along the way!

Of course! 😊 The location was really convenient, only 5 minutes from the metro station and close to cafes, supermarkets, and a few major attractions. It felt safe even at night. The room was spacious for a hostel, with comfy beds, personal reading lights, charging ports, and secure lockers. Great atmosphere and super helpful staff too!"

If I had to mention a couple of downsides, the reception seemed a bit packed (space is not enough) when I arrived. I had to wait in a queue for a little while to check in too. It wasn’t a big issue, but after a long journey, a quicker check-in would have been nice. Also, during the night, the room was a bit noisy due to traffic sounds from the road outside & people outside. It might be helpful to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. Other than that, the overall experience was still very good

I love the toilet it's in our room and it's big and spacious and they cleaned it everyday🥰...The bed are just good enough to sleep it's reasonable for it price and location and comfort..only that because it's in the center location of the city you can hear noises from outside like drunked men at night or tourist in a day time walking and talking but it's okay we cannot avoid it...staff are very accomodating...for me still good for it's price🥰

The location of this property is excellent. The staff is very friendly. We were a group of four so we got the whole room with four beds for ourself, which was nice. The bathroom size is also okay.

Quiet in the very heart of the city

I booked the place for one night after midnight after my original accommodation had been cancelled by the owner. I found the bed nice and clean and comfortable and welcomed the curtains which ensure privacy. The room - although a dormitory for 10 people - was reasonably quiet in terms of other guests, and although the windows were open onto the street to have fresh air, it was very, very quiet. The place could not be better situated in terms of sightseeing etc., which was not my case because I travelled for work, but it felt nice and comforting to sleep in the heart of Brussels.

The ladder to the upper bunks were not comfortable.

Ideal for an unplanned overnight stay

Very affordable, the check in was quick and there is a drinks vending machine. Comfy mattress for people with back pain, the sheets are clean and the bathroom is in the dorm if you need to go in the middle of the night. You will need a smartphone to install an app and open the door of the dorm. The location near the grand place is great for visiting Brussels.

not recommended at all

location is good

the front office staff behaviour was too bad. we have reached at hotel lobby by 1.30pm , then they wont allow us to check in before 3pm. later we have requested him to store our luggages for another 1.5hour and we wanted to go out for while, then he charged 6 euro for each luggages. then luggages storages room no lift, had to carry the luggages by use staircase, so terrible !!!!! very worst experience and too bad attitude by the receiptionist guy.

It was in the center of everything, I walked from the restaurant and had another nice day trip due to staying here. Thank you! The staffs were super helpful, grateful for your help checking in and storing my jacket.

Waiting for bedroom in the morning with little bit of stress before check out. No charging spots so I had to climb to half stair to plug in my chargers.

My original booking I requested a kettle. The response from Safestay confirmed they will be able to arrange this. When I arrived there was no kettle. I asked again could I have a kettle and the request was refused!

Would only recommend to people who really can't stretch their budget for more

- Very central - Most of the staff were friendly - Comfortable double bed - Soap, towels and fan provided - Key app was very easy to set up and use - Working WiFi (albeit slow) - Hot water - If you are staying for several days and you are present in the room during daily cleaning, the staff will knock on the door to offer you a change of towel - Bins were changed when we were out one day - Despite the small room, there was somewhere to hang clothes and store items

- Absolutely awful smell from the vent in the en suite the whole time (the bathroom itself seemed clean) - We were on the 3rd floor and the window didn't open more than a few inches because of the sloping roof. Combined with the broken lift during our visit, it made me a little nervous about fire risk - Due to the location, the streets outside are noisy all through the night and morning, which is problematic when there is no AC (earplugs are 100% necessary) - Brown stains on one towel - Low water pressure
