Lakeside Retreat Lodge With Hot Tub

The hot tub was clean snd satm. The general lay out if the chalet. Liked the on suite and location to York. I did like the site and would gave been nice to be near the lakeside.

The chalet was dirty when we arrived and had to clean it. We had to sweep up crumbs, remove long black hairs from the couches. The bedding had holes in them and the decking was full of cobwebs and twigs from the trees.

We liked the location and the setting. The lodge was lovely and great to have a hot tub

We found that the lodge was quite dirty, greasy pans and cooker. The welcome pack wasn’t really a welcome pack. The bathroom were dirty and dusty.

Hot tub and view was great, it was nice to watch all the wildlife

Check in time at NO earlier than 4 so made to sit in the on site bar and spend money when we had all food and drink we needed in car. Lots of stains on carpet of cabin, no salt (just 2 empty salt shakers), no oil, milk or shower gel, tea or coffee or ANYTHING which you usually get provided when you stay anywhere else. 2 toilet rolls to share between 4 girls for 2 nights. Ant problem on decking. Lots of dead flies in the shower. No hand soap in any bathrooms. Ask you to clean up well before you leave but don’t provide any cleaning products or kitchen roll. Most plates and cutlery had dried on food stuck to it.
