Green Acres Lodge with Hot Tub

It was clean and all staff was very friendly that always makes your stay better.

Only thing i would say is have some cleaning products in as not a lot of people know how to use dish washers. Some like yo wash the pots rather than using the dish washer.

The property and location

The hot tub - there were no instructions and whilst trying to lift the lid my 61 year old sister fell in fully clothed and cut her leg, tried ringing the number provided which went to answerphone then said answer phone was full so not good at all.

Modern, clean, spacious with great facilities including hot tub. Kitchen has everything you need!

Mattress on double bed needs replacing, can feel the springs in your back.

The place is lovely. The decor was fine and overall very clean. Some small staining on the carpet but that is to be expected as dogs are allowed. It is a good size and looks great.

I feel like complaining to management. Which I may do after this review. Our arrival was scheduled for 4pm (normal arrival time), however we ran late by a hour which was no problem when I called reception. So we are a hour late get to the lodge and the heating isn’t on, it’s December in a lodge it was freezing! Then we had a look around looked at the hot tub which was only a quarter of the way full! (Remember we are a hour late so they’ve had a hour longer to sort this). I got to reception and they where good in terms of someone coming to sort it that was fine. However we still where not able to use the hot tub until 7pm and it still had the hose pipe in filling it up we just couldn’t keep my daughter waiting any longer. Secondly, the double bed is an absolute joke. I have never in my life slept on a bed where I can feel every spring. When I was at the lodge it was that bad the first night I checked trip advisor then saw many other people had commented the same! (Should have checked before). The worst is that the hosts had commented back to these people saying they will look into it etc etc. Well I can guarantee it has not been! So instead of staying in a lovely double room we stayed in the front room sofa bed. Honestly, I’m really not fussy hard mattress, soft mattress I am not bothered but this was something else! It could have done with being thrown away years ago! People go away to get a holiday a better experience than at home, on a night I was wishing my time away! Finally water was spraying from under our lodge making so much noise and i looked to see what it was and was a pipe that had split or hadn’t been put together correct. I left a message on the emergency number and had nothing in return. The emergency number is only valid until 8pm and reception shuts at 6pm when I was there so you have a 2 hour emergency window. Anyways left a message never heard anything back regarding the pipe.
