Nothing negative at all

There are three supermarkets within walking distance and the building complex itself includes cafés, a hairdresser, restaurants, a pharmacy, which is convenient. It also felt like a very safe location. It is also about a 10–15 minute drive from Acıbadem Hospital, which was the reason for our stay. For that purpose the location worked well for us. However, it is not ideal for visitors who want to explore central Istanbul, as the city centre is roughly a 30-minute drive away depending on traffic. The apartment itself is well-lit and spacious, and overall clean.

Although this is an apartment rental rather than a hotel, the experience felt quite impersonal. The host does not speak English and there were times in which he did not respond to messages, which made communication difficult. When we arrived, several very basic items were missing: there was no toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, or even simple kitchen essentials such as salt, sugar, pepper... For guests staying more than a few days, this means you need to purchase many basics yourself in order to make the apartment comfortable to live in. The hairdryer provided also overheats quickly and stops working, worse than what you would normally find even in budget hotel rooms. Another point to be aware of is that the windows are not well insulated. Cold air enters the living room, which is noticeable when sitting on the sofa or armchair. We experienced this even in March, so it may be uncomfortable during cooler months. Our check-in and check-out experience also left a poor impression. We arrived with many bags as my mother was undergoing treatment at Acıbadem Hospital, but the host made no attempt to assist us while we carried everything to the apartment. On the day of check-out, he entered the apartment repeating “control, control” and walked through the space inspecting it, which felt uncomfortable and unnecessary given that we had been staying there quietly for medical reasons. Overall, the apartment can represent good value for money, particularly in the off-season, and the location may work well for those who have business in Istanbul in the vicinity. However, the lack of hospitality and the overall comfort level are what ultimately prevent us from giving a higher rating.

The apartment is spacious and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. I particularly liked the large bathroom and the well-equipped kitchen, which made it easy to feel at home. The space is bright, clean, and thoughtfully arranged, with plenty of room to relax. The balcony would have been lovely if the weather had been better, but unfortunately, we didn’t get to use it much. The heating works perfectly, and the location was very convenient for the purpose of my visit. Metro station, a grocery store, a pharmacy, and cafés/restaurants are all located within the complex. I would happily stay here again.

Even though the heating was great, the water in the shower was not warm enough for me. The location may not be ideal depending on your travel plans.
