About this house rental
Casa del Gelsomino is spread over two floors and is also accessible from a small private garden.
GROUND FLOOR: You are welcomed into the spacious and bright living area, where the southern horizon is framed by a flowering hedge of pink oleanders, beyond which you can enjoy the view of the valley leading down to the sea. In this area, equipped with all modern comforts, the furnishings blend tradition, local character, and rustic charm with simplicity, understated elegance, and minimalism. A cooking corner, also overlooking the valley and the sea, completes this living area. Adjacent to the cooking corner, our guests can make use of a small area that includes a bathroom and a laundry space.
Outside the living room, in the private garden shaded by reeds, guests can freely organize their meals and also enjoy the cool evenings that Sicily’s mild climate offers.
The ground floor is completed by one of the two bedrooms in the house.
This first bedroom overlooks, through a large, bright window, the private garden bordered to the north by a laurel hedge and to the west by another hedge of jasmine, from which the house takes its name. It features a private en-suite bathroom that is also accessible to guests with disabilities. The furnishings include a double bed, a walk-in closet, a dresser, and a bench. The large window can be covered with a blackout curtain to ensure maximum comfort for guests who prefer to sleep in the dark.
From the living area, you reach the UPPER LEVEL—a sort of loft—via an iron staircase masterfully crafted by a local blacksmith; it is distinguished by its magnificence and grandeur, yet at the same time by the simplicity and lightness of its lines. Continuing along a small landing overlooking the valley and the sea, you enter the house’s second bedroom. This south-facing room also enjoys the view and the landscape opening out onto the valley and the sea through a large, bright window. Another entrance, located on the north side of the bedroom, opens onto a veranda covered with reeds, where, reclining in simple, sleek, yet comfortable armchairs, you can enjoy the cool northern breeze and the geometric patterns formed by the lush rows of vineyards that border the house’s grounds.
This room also features a private bathroom. The furnishings include two single beds that can be converted into a double bed, a walk-in closet, and a dresser. Special window shades, made of material that completely blocks out light, ensure maximum comfort for guests who prefer to sleep in the dark.
The house is fully AIR-CONDITIONED, and Wi-Fi is always active and accessible throughout all indoor and outdoor areas.
