About this house rental
Don’t miss your opportunity to lounge at the Lazy Loon! Take advantage of an up North experience in our updated, single level, 3 bed/1 bath home with a spacious, open floor plan, and fully equipped kitchen to meet all your cooking needs. A gas grill is also available during the summer and fall season. Upper South Long Lake is 800 acres of fun (for any season), located just 2 hours north of the Twin Cities and less than 10 min SE of Brainerd.
The Space:
Enjoy full-sun throughout the day and into the evening with our south facing exposure, 100 ft of sandy shoreline, a private sandy beach for the kids, and of course, fishing from the dock will promise to be entertaining. The property’s level elevation, with no sloping or stairs to the lake, make this an easily accessible set up for all ages and abilities. When you are ready for a break from the sun, relax under the large shade trees and enjoy dinner on the deck, while embracing the stunning lake views, the loons, or even an occasional eagle or two! Of course, don’t miss out on evening smores and gatherings around the lakeside fire pit.
We have you covered for cool, rainy days inside with a variety of board and card games, puzzles, and plenty of family friendly DVD’s.
During the winter months, the Lazy Loon is a great place to stay for ice fishing, snowmobiling and other winter activities. Upper South Long Lake is well known for ice fishing and it's home of the big Crappie Flop fishing tournament. In addition, we are conveniently located with easy access to hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobile trails! It is a great place to enjoy every season!

We have enjoyed sharing our property with others over the years. We only ask that the families that consider choosing to share our home will appreciate and respect it as well. We are looking for responsible adults and/or families only please. Absolutely no parties, no pets and no smoking allowed.

The upgrades to the cabin are great! We loved the Golden Tee game and Hot tub on a rainy day. Immediate response by the host whenever we had a question! We always look forward to coming back.
