About this apartment rental

Der Steiermark - 600 S. Park Ave. Unit # 108

THE CONDO

400 square foot studio located on the second floor in the Der Steiermark building with a private balcony and views of the mountains. The condo has a new king-sized bed with a Denver Mattress Co Doctor's Choice plush mattress and queen-size sleeper sofa with a new Classic Brands 5 inch memory foam mattress. Condo includes a 55 inch smart flat screen TV with Xfinity HD cable, fast wifi, a closet, fully equipped kitchen with four-person breakfast bar, full oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker w/ coffee, tea, creamers, syrups and all cooking equipment you'd need. The bathroom has a shower and comes with soap, shampoo, conditioner and makeup wipes.

FIREPLACE

Unfortunately the fireplace is no longer in use as we’re not able to secure insurance with a wood burning fireplace in Breckenridge. We will be remolding with a high end electric fire place soon!

Seasonal AC

Portable AC unit in the summer, but you’re still able to open the windows. Usually installed from June - October, depending on the weather, it's only needed in July and August.

COFFEE & KITCHEN

We provide ground coffee, teas, hot chocolate, powder creamer & syrups. The coffee machine is a Kurig Duo for ground coffee or k cups. We provide a reusable k cup filter for coffee grounds. The kitchen is fully loaded with all utensils and basic cooking supplies (salt, pepper, olive oil and spices). You’re welcome to leave any groceries at departure and we will make sure they get repurposed for future guests or donated to the foodbank.

THE BUILDING

The building is called Der Steiermark and is perfectly located between Main Street, Peak 9 Quicksilver chairlift and the Blue River. Across the street is the Village Complex where you will find the lift ticket office, ski/snowboard school, urgent care and the Quicksilver chair lift for Peak 9. Der Steiermark is a small condo building without a front desk. The building has an outdoor shared hot tub in the center of the courtyard of the building. The space comes with one underground parking space that is heated and locked. The building has both stair and elevator access. On the first floor is Mi Casa, the best Mexican restaurant in town with an amazing happy hour and Blue River Sports a full-service ski/board/bike rental shop. Laundry is located near the elevator and takes payment by either quarters or digitally via an app.

LUGGAGE STORAGE

Unfortunately we do not have any options for luggage storage before check in or after check out. However if you are driving and parking the garage it is safe to leave your bags in your car. The building hopes to offer shuttle guests an option for luggage storage in the future.

PARKING

Garage entry height is: 7 feet 2 inches.

Parking is included for free. One parking space is available in the garage located under the building. We can usually accommodate early or late parking as long as the previous guest or incoming guests isn't occupying the garage. Please inquire if you need early or late parking and we will try our best to accommodate.

4WD is HIGHLY recommended during the winter months as the driveway to the parking garage is steep. The driveway is heated, but can get icy when it snows. Additional paid overnight parking is available at the Ice Rink lot a few blocks away and hourly day/ skier parking is available at the adjacent F Parking Lot next door. Please note the town has closed the Airport/Satellite parking lot to build a new neighborhood at this time an alternative lot has not been created.

SHUTTLE

During winter, nearly all of our guests flying to Colorado take a shuttle service from Denver or Eagle Airport. Shuttles are incredibly reliable with hourly departures regardless of weather. You’ll also travel in comfort with wifi and avoid the hassle of chain restrictions and winter conditions. Once you arrive, everything is within 2 blocks and you don’t need a car. Shuttles should be reserved in advance. The top shuttles are: Epic Mountain Express (20% off with Epic Pass), Summit Express, Peak 1 Express & Fresh Tracks


COLORADO I-70 HIGHWAY TRACTION LAW IN EFFECT SEPT 1 - May 31

Colorado traction law for all rental or personal cars must have either four-wheel, all-wheel drive, snow tires or traction chains and a minimum depth of 3/16 of an inch of tire tread, 24 hours a day between September 1 - May 31 on the I-70 mountain corridor. Tickets are $130+ and $650 if you cause a highway blockage for not having the proper equipment. Because of the new Traction Law, I highly recommend taking a shuttle, as most rental car companies in Denver don’t meet this requirement.


OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
All taxes and fees are included in your rate. There is no parking fee or resort fee until most properties in Breckenridge!

The building locks the front door around 10pm (when Mi Casa closes) and guests will need their keys or enter through the garage. Arrivals after 10pm will have to enter through the garage to obtain keys.

I proudly pay my housekeepers a fair living wage in the mountains and in return we've received phenomenal service for many years. Please don't ask to cut their pay, they work very hard.

Free early or late parking is likely, but does depend on prior or next guests. Please inquire if needed.

Perfect for my son and I to get away for Spring Break. Easy access to the lift and town. We parked our car and never needed it again. We received excellent support from Kent and team when we had issues with a snow storm -- would rent this place again any time.

Communicative property manager made check-in/check-out easy. Room, bathroom, and kitchen were clean. Quick walk to the ski lift. Having a garage parking space was great. Some of our neighbors were college-aged, so I was concerned about how noisy they'd be at night. I was pleasantly surprised at how well insulated the room was to outside sounds. If my wife and I were to plan another getaway to Breckenridge, I'd book this room again.
