Lovely villa, great location

Very clean & modern Good aircon in all rooms Plenty of chairs & sunbeds outside Pool towels provided Great location for local tavernas which all meals were excellent & then only 20minutes walk into the old town.

No locks on any of the bathroom doors, not ideal when 2 families staying. The bathroom with the bath needs a shower curtain, water just went everywhere when showering. The pool was freezing we hardly used it, even with 30c plus weather.

An extra gate fob would be handy when you have a big group staying but this wasn’t a big issue

Perfect villa for our family holiday

This is a beautiful villa, very clean and modern, with everything you need, including nice touches like bathrobes, a nice welcome package of food and drinks, and pool towels. We were welcomed on arrival and given a full tour, and Maria was available for any inquiries. The pool is perfect for kids to splash in and adults to cool off, and there were some toys and inflatables for fun games. The kitchen is well equipped and we used the barbecue too. It’s in a quiet residential area which feels very safe and there is a big supermarket and multiple smaller shops within a few minutes walk.

The location is very convenient if you can handle an easy 15-20 minute walk, as you can walk to the beach or central Chania in that time. But the buses to town weren’t as frequent as we had hoped and getting taxis for our elderly father was tricky at times. Not the fault of the property, just something for visitors to be aware of. Similarly the marble floors are beautiful but very slippery if they get wet so do be careful to wipe feet and mop up spills. There is only one key so a bit of coordination needed if your group split up for the day.

Beautiful modern villa with all mod cons

A beautifully appointed villa with lots of extras which we hadn’t expected. There were bath robes, towels and plenty of kitchen provisions. Also in a quiet residential area and walking distance to shops and large supermarket.

It wasn’t a great walk into town through the residential streets but we had a great taxi service with Aria who was on hand when we needed her.

Best family villa you could ask for.

Everything. Fantastic property with everything you need to relax. Owner was brilliant and so welcoming. Also provided great recommendations on restaurants and local coffee shop. Plenty of room for a family and great to have parking for 2 cars.

Amazing holiday location

The property is so beautiful, well equipped with everything you might need. From having 3 bathrooms, to large beds, air conditioner, kitchen fully stuffed, and the outside area is such a relaxing spot also. The owner Maria is the most lovely lady we met, so nice and helpful. The property is at 15 min walk to the old town Chania, again, amazing location can’t find any flaws.

5 nights stay at Villa Calliope

The villa was great. From the pool, garden and barbecue area to the house itself everything was clean and really enjoyable, we had a great time. Every room had AC, and we had from the host bathrobes that come in handy after a late dip in the pool :) In the vecinity of the villa you can find a farmacy, supermarket, taverna and meat shop. Maria was helpful and provided us with good recommendations and helped us have a great time. We rented a car to get by, and it was a very good choice.

Everything about the Villa was amazing . The Villa is better than the pictures shown on Booking.com. The swimming pool was well used by us . We walked to the Old Town and caught local buses to other beaches in Chania .

Lovely, very well equipped, property, Perfect for family holiday.

Would have been nice if bit closer to beach/town centre but we knew that beforehand ( 25 minutes into town, 40 minutes to nice beach ). Pool was too cold to use. We had some problems unlocking the front door - must be a knack we never quite mastered. Would be good if there was some recycling information/bin. Bit annoying that electrics go off when you go out.

A super oasis in a mostly local residential area. We had a wonderful stay and Maria was so accommodating and helpful. It

A wonderfully clean villa, lots of towels, nice welcome goodies too. A little oasis, with lots of room, well managed by the lovely Maria and a super garden and pool area.

Not much to complain about! Perhaps needed a few more sharp knives for food preparation and perhaps a few board games might be useful for families.

Lovely villa with a friendly host

The villa was extremely well kept! Very modern and fresh. All appliances included, aircon throughout which we didn't need in April but would be great in hotter months. The kitchen was fully equipped with pots and pans, utensils etc. The owner greeted us on arrival with a welcome basket of fruit and some drinks and snacks to help us after our journey. Fresh towels were provided. Washing machine had a quick wash setting which was handy to freshen up swim suits after visiting the beach (pegs and a clothes horse were provided) Larger supermarket (selling everything you could need, toiletries/ nappies/ fresh fruit and veg and hot cooked meals to take away) 5/10 mins walk, small supermarket 2 mins away. Cafe bars within 5 mins of the villa. The beach was around 20 mins walk, Chania centre roughly the same. We enjoyed the walk every day, taking in all the views and passing orange trees which lined most of the streets. We really enjoyed the stay and the host organised a transfer to the airport for our return journey.

Villa life in the city

The accommodation was a great option during Corona. We were a group of 6 with 2 cars. We were able to park our cars securely, self-cater with the great bbq and kitchen facilities and enjoy swims in the pool, all without the hassle of other guests that you would have in a hotel. The villa was a 25 minute walk from the harbour, which meant we could still go out for dinner and enjoy Chania town without driving.

Nothing! The only minor feedback would be that we would have appreciated more than one set of keys.

Superb

Very clean and comfortable house. The beds were excellent, firm and wide - combined with the AC and shades, we slept perfectly. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking + spacious fridge. Pool and outdoor area were nice as well, and walk to the old town was approx 25 minutes. The owner Maria was super friendly and helpful! Overall, as a group of four we had an amazing week at Villa Calliope!

Zeer prettig huis met voldoende ruimte voor 8 personen. We kwamen laat aan maar er was water, bier, wijn en ontbijt in de koeling. Dat was echt top!

De bedden waren aan de harde kant. Het huis ligt op 20 tot 25 minuten lopen vanaf het oude centrum.
