Clean and comfortable, good WiFi, plenty of nearby food options, friendly and helpful manager. Very happy here.

I really like hostel if I stay only short period time and the value of the money you paid is worth it.

It’s just old building.

While the outside area looked nothing like the pictures (clearly taken many years ago), I honestly really enjoyed sitting outside at the stone table and hammock while recovering from a cold in the sun all day. If you're after just the basics from a hostel, this is a very affordable option. The washing machine was a fun adventure. Thankfully, some older guests grew up with one just like it - so we figured it out together! Good air conditioning and fan in the room, and I liked that the female dorm was very separate from the main area. I didn't explore much of Khon Kaen as I was sick, but it was a great place to live the slow life - convenience store and morning market very close by, and nice streets to wander around.

Bed wasn't the most comfortable, but typical of what you'd find at this price point. Again, hostel has just the basics, couldn't figure out the hot water, but it's warm enough in Khon Kaen to enjoy a cold shower.
