The location is perfect for exploring the old street on foot. The room was really clean, and the best part for us was finding parking nearby without any trouble.
While it’s within walking distance of the old street, be prepared for a bit of a workout involves climbing a fair number of stairs, which could be challenging

The room was really clean and made me feel f comfortable to stay. The people were very nice even we cannot communicate enough in same language.

The stay is best summed up as ok. On the surface, the facility looks nice, but it is quite dank. There is the smell of mold and visible mold in the shower. It is not a true bed and breakfast - just some instant ramen left in the room. Location is fine and the old street in Juifen is within walkable distance. Overall though, Juifen is not worth an overnight stay, maybe not even a visit unless you are killing time.
It would have been nice to know they require a cash payment up front. They do not take credit cards so new for-warned. The hostess is a bit of a nag. Insisted we keep the window open, keep the AC at 23 C, was annoyed at us for not shutting the front door correctly without letting us know it is a actually a fussy door. Started off the stay with a bad vibe.
