La Casa di Berenice a Porto Azzurro

Posizione un po defilata dal caos. Comodissima per chi fa la gte. Conad e bar a pochi metri da casa. Lungomare e ristoranti a 800 metri. Pulita silenziosa e carina. Bagno enorme. Utilissimo l angolo colazione con piccolo frigo macchina caffè e microonde. Possibilità di usare la lavatrice. Bello il salotto in comune con caminetto e zona esterna relax. Le indicazioni per raggiungere l appartamento sono state incredibilmente chiare.

La disponibilità di Claudia è davvero impareggiabile. Fin dal nostro arrivo si è dimostrata sempre attenta e pronta a venire incontro a ogni esigenza: ci ha supportati sia quando abbiamo avuto un problema con la prenotazione sia quando le abbiamo segnalato che la struttura del letto scricchiolava al minimo movimento. In questo ultimo caso, in meno di una giornata ha ordinato una nuova struttura letto, rendendo il nostro soggiorno ancora più confortevole. Il bagno è molto ampio e comodo e la stanza dispone di un tavolino con macchina del caffè, mini frigo, scopa, paletta e mocio. All’esterno della camera anche un armadio con tutto l’occorrente per il soggiorno. Inoltre, ottimo lo spazio esterno con un paio di poltroncine e un tavolino: perfetto per una colazione veloce o per rilassarci o anche durante un acquazzone (come successo a noi).

Camera un po’ piccola per due persone e la lavatrice è a pagamento (circa 3€ a lavaggio, utilizzabile solo in certi orari e per cicli brevi)

Overall, it was just ok.

All signage inside the apartment was in Italian, it would have been nice to have it in English as well. There was a washing machine on the landing, again instructions in Italian. The location was extremely difficult to find, as the taxi dropped me off in the wrong location Therefore, a map would have been extremely helpful showing the exact location to the rest of the town would be invaluable. Without the help of 4 young Italian teenagers who took around 10 minutes to finally locate the place. I would have found it impossible to locate on my own. Inside the apartment there was black mold in the shower in quite a number of places. I couldn't get the internet to work despite trying numerous times using different combinations. I was unable to contact the owner as no phone number was provided, only email. The bed cracked every time I rolled over. The window ledge in the bathroom was dusty and dirty. Flyscreen wire in the bathroom window was simply held on by thumb tacks, whereas. the one in the bedroom had a professional screen fitted. The worst thing that happened occurred around lunch time on Friday, as I returned to the apartment, I was unable to get in. I tried knocking several times with no answer. I then sat in the front garden for over an hour in the extremely hot sun before someone came out of the apartment. Apparently, the code required to enter had been changed and I hadn't been told of the change. Overall, I loved the Island, the food and the people were so friendly and always helped wherever possible. A special thank you to Gulia in the pharmacy who spoke English and was my savior in a number of ways. I'm sorry but I'm unable to recommend the place based on the above.
