About this house rental
Pagosa Hilltop Getaway is a new rental with amazing views of the entire San Juan mountain range. It's located on 5 acres but it feels like much more since you are above it all. On clear nights, see stars like you've never seen them before!
As you enter the home, there is a split stair case. Up to the left, you enter the living, dining and kitchen area. The living room is cozy and large enough for the entire family to hang out, play games, watch the large SMART TV or make a fire and just relax. The kitchen is large and open and plenty of room for all the chefs in the group. The kitchen has all the equipment and supplies to make your favorite meals, or have VIP Vacations arrange one of our Private Chefs to entertain and feed you! The stove and oven are electric. Next to the kitchen is the dining area, but there is also a 4 person bar on the island counter. Off the dining area is a door that leads out to the wrap-around deck where you can enjoy a sunrise coffee, or a sunset wine.
Down the hall are 2 of the bedrooms, each with a new queen bed, one of which is the master bedroom and has a private bathroom. At the beginning of the hall is a full bathroom for the rest of the house to use.
Downstairs is a bedroom with 2 twin beds and a partial wall that separates the room into 2 sections. Next to this room is the cozy den with super large and cozy couch (plenty of room to sleep on) where you can watch the new 65 inch SMART TV. There is a full bathroom downstairs as well as a separate large laundry room.
There is a 2 car garage on this level that every guest can use. Outside the garage, under the covered deck and all the views, you also have a 5-6 person hot tub!
All trailers, RV's, campers or other recreation vehicles must be approved prior to arrival to be allowed on premises.
This home is Dog Friendly and allow up to 2 dogs with $75 fee for each plus an additional $100 refundable deposit per dog.
There is a portable AC unit in the living room area.
This property is 2 minutes from town, 5 minutes to the hot springs and downtown, 25 minutes to Wolf Creek Ski resort (most snow in Colorado)
We highly recommend a 4WD vehicle for this home in the winter.

The upper level wraparound deck was so nice to sit out on. The hot tub was a nice treat at the end of some long hikes. I do wish that there were better coffee options at the home. My husband had to go into town every morning to get coffee. An upgrade, or a Keurig would be nice. Other than that, our stay was fantastic. We were also so pleased with how accommodating they were with our dog. We would definitely stay there again!

Amazing views from the covered porch. Spent most evenings watching storms move across the valley or deer walking nearby. Could easily see 10 to 15 miles in almost any direction.

One of the best view properties in Pagosa. The interior has been reconditioned/remodeled and is very nice. The exterior needs maintenance and also landscaping. All in all very good stay and would have liked to stay longer.

This house is very close to all the conveniences of town, but definitely has a private country setting, it has beautiful views and wildlife on and around the property. We saw deer and elk. We loved the following: cleanliness, the wrap around porch with plenty of seating & small tables, a large reasonably stocked kitchen with full size appliances, a large dining table, a nice hot tub, plenty of thick bath towels, a movie room with a large comfortable couch, a full sized laundry room. What could be improved: air conditioners for the bedroom areas; daytime temps were in the 90’s (end of July) & it took awhile for the bedrooms to cool in the evenings when going to bed. We were thankful for the fans provided & by morning the bedrooms were very cool, but if you want a cool room in the summer when going to sleep, it probably won’t be. The 4 plug outlet in the master bath wouldn’t work & we learned when we were leaving that the garage tripped a breaker when we opened it, which was also tied in with the bathroom outlet. A shower head bath supplies hanger in the master bath would be a great help. There were 2 wash cloths per bathroom & for 3 couples staying almost 2 weeks, that wasn’t enough, we had to go buy our own. The master bath needs a blind or curtain & the blind in the movie room was missing half of it, so there was a glare from the window on the tv the evening we watched a movie. There are tall sized steps going into the home and there’s a step into the downstairs bathroom that isn’t easily noticeable.
