About this cottage rental
Seahorse is situated on The Meadows, an exclusive gated development of The Bay.
Enter through the side door into the open plan living space with well-equipped kitchen with Bosch appliances, dining space and lounge area with new corner chaise sofa, 2 armchairs, TV and log burning stove. Down the hallway are 3 bedrooms all with their own ensuite and TV – 2 doubles with ensuite wet rooms, and one twin with ensuite bathroom.
At the front is a large deck with dining table and chairs and rattan sofa set, making the most of the unrestricted meadow view. You can also see the sea from the decking! Off the rear double bedroom is a private deck with day bed to catch the evening sun. There is also an outside shower (ideal for after returning from the beach), and an external shower/toilet (surf room). Off road parking for 2 cars side by side and additional parking nearby. New brick built BBQ too.
This property has a path to the entrance door which makes it accessible for those with mobility issues. However, please note we do not have grab rails in the bathrooms (please see photos.)
Please be aware the Meadows road is currently awaiting resurfacing - there are a number of potholes at present.

We went as a group of 6 so were looking for 3 beds & 3 bathrooms. Seahorse is a lovely lodge facing the meadow at the front of the property with two parking spaces, it has plenty of different outside seating areas with furniture, the kitchen/dining room/lounge is one big area so plenty of seating in the lounge area for all 6 of us plus the dining room too, so great for morning/evenings if weather not nice to sit out. There is a king and double size bedroom with walk-in shower plus another bedroom with two single beds which has a bath and hand held shower unless you are very small but we felt that was the only compromise. The lodge was well equipped with extras like salt/pepper, washing pods, soap, we will definitely be back and can highly recommend

We had a short break here in April 2025. The lodge is exceptional in many ways and is positioned to give clear views over parkland with decking areas at the front and rear which catch the sun most of the day. It's only a short walk to the centre and the pool and bar. The pool is great, clean with plenty of space for changing, there's also a steam room and sauna. It's also only a short walk down to the beach which is stunning, a wide bay with miles of sand
The lodge is well kitted out with everything you need to cater for six people, there are books and games, the beds are very comfortable and the bedding is good quality. We had the best time, so relaxing, just wish we'd had longer!

We stayed at the Seahorse Lodge at the end of February 2025 , the lodge was fantastic, very clean and warm for our arrival. The lodge catered for all our needs with a perfect layout to contain the dogs away from the bedrooms. I cannot compliment it enough. The site facilities , pub and leisure facilities were great , the kids really enjoyed the pool.

The property is very impressive, spacious and has a practical and homely feel. However, given there is supposed to be additional cleaning I don't think that happened. The showers had a red/orange mould, the cooker and grill tray were full of fat and not washed and one quilt had a red stain on it
