It was very difficult to access with luggage and we were also on the third floor with no lift in the building.

Super modern rooms in a great location.

It was in a great location on the edge of the old town, on a pretty street with nice restaurants. Easy to walk around town, to the beach and the castle. Rooms were just like the pictures, modern, with everything you need. The staff are super friendly and helpful and even clean the apartments daily, which we didn’t expect. Left us welcome fruit bowl, wine, snacks which was really nice and even helped with our washing 😊

Petalo suites is a beautiful apartment in a beautiful location. The rooms have everything you could possibly ask for ! Extremely clean and the decor is beautiful exactly the same as the photos. We loved having our breakfast daily on the balcony . Candy is the most beautiful generous host . Upon arrival we had so many treats that she had provided from cakes to a fruit bowl and a cheese platter and it didn’t stop there she would often bring us sweets when she would come daily to clean . We travel every year to Europe and sometimes twice we have stayed in many places from hotels to apartments and we have never had the service that Candy provides. She is happy to clean your room daily and change your sheets and towels l have stayed in very expensive hotels and you will be lucky if they change your sheets . This place is 10/10

Amazing views in the heart of the old town

Truly fantastic experience. I booked the superior suite and a junior suite for my family. The superior suite balcony is spacious with dining chairs and extra seating and has an unparalleled view. You can see many historic sites and the fortress, even lit up at night. Property is in a perfect location for walking to the sites and to restaurants and short walk to the bus station. Ms Candy was a wonderful host and left us wine and treats. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom is modern, and there is even a washing machine for clothes. I wish we had stayed longer!

Best place!

Very well located, right near to the city center and with a free parking nearby. Calm street, with small restaurants downstairs but you can't hear anything while in the appartment. Nice terrasse. The place is very clean, very cosy. Very easy arrival, and your greeted with cold water, wine, fruits and cake! The hostess is very kind and helpful. Best place in town!

Everything. A beautiful and stylish apartment on the edge of the old town just minutes walk from all the lovely tavernas, shops, markets, harbour... Compact but comfortable with everything you need and beautifully designed. It also has a large terrace with table, chairs, comfy bean bag seats, and overlooking the old town and fortress in the distance. Really nice.

Nothing really (though the three flights of stairs might not suit people with limited mobility).

Everything! The place is very modern and spacious, they also provided us with some food and drinks which we really appreciated, the breakfast was ordered everyday and delivered directly to our apartment! The view was also breathtaking especially in the evening.

10/10 experience. Great host, clean and modern location in a charming central street in the old part of Rethymon. Lovely view on a blossoming tree and great salmon and avocado breakfast.

Great location however not quite the experience we expected.

Upon arrival we were grateful to find a bottle of wine and a cheese, olives and grapes platter. There were also a large fruit bowl and few small pieces of cake. A nice touch.

This is where reality of this suite sets in. The room was on the second floor, the staircase was a tight spiral one and the steps were slippery. Lugging two suitcases up the stairs was not a pleasant experience. Let me make it abundantly clear there is no lift. There is no meet and greet just call when you arrive and you’ll be given a code to the key box to access you room. Finally breakfast included is a delivery of takeaway food from a limited menu. No drinks included, however the room does have the facilities to make your own. You’ll be contacted each day to place your order. If we knew the above we would not have stayed. Finally we’re on our fourth week of holidaying across Greece including the Islands and mainland and for us this wasn’t worth the 9.6 booking.com score. Our experience has been warm greetings full of recommendations and genuine hospitality.

Our stay at Petalo Suites was amazing, we only stayed for one night but wished we had longer in Rethymno. Excellent location on the edge of the old town, on a beautiful little street with a good selection of restaurants and cafes. Room is stylishly decorated and on arrival there was fresh fruit, cake, raki, all the good things! Facilities provided for a morning coffee on the balcony. Breakfast delivered to your door too. Perfect apartment to explore this beautiful town.

Stunning apartment, great location, lovely host

The apartment is absolutely beautiful, it is decorated to such a high standard and is immaculately clean. Well equipped kitchen and bathroom, we had everything we needed. Breakfast was delivered every morning and was lovely and huge! The apartment was cleaned every day and Kandy messaged several times to make sure we had everything we needed. A cot was provided in the room for our baby which was perfect. Great location just minutes to the old town and down a lovely little street.

The stairs up to the third floor apartment were a challenge with a pram and cases but don’t let that put you off the apartment is 100% worth is

Perfect!

Situated just inside the old town, the suite offers incredible views and a large balcony. The entire suite was super clean and well equipped. The bed really comfortable. Can't fault the place. We went at a quiet time but imagine at times it could get a little noisy. Plenty of options for breakfast, including for vegetarians. It was delivered at a time to suit, and delicious. Welcome bowl of fruit, cheese, olives and more, and plenty of tea and coffee. Communication was great throughout.

Perfect place to stay in beautiful Rethymno old town

A beautiful stylish modern studio. It was compact but very well planned and with absolutely everything you could want. The shower is the best!! The balcony provides extra space and enables watching of all the local goings on in the street below. Loved the welcome snacks, cake, fruit and raki. The host is readily available and really helpful.

We loved it! But I would suggest fitted sheets for the bed And you need to be able to carry your luggage in (backpack was fine) as you can’t bring a car right in.

Great location in the city center with free parking near by (5min walk). Fantastic room, spacious and very clean. We were welcomed with raki something to eat and very tasty cake and biscuits. Has an iron, washing machine, fridge and over so you can easily make something to eat.

we stayed there on March so it wasn’t that busy but it might be a bit noisy during summer however it’s still a great place to stay

Perfect accomodation, feels like home

We had a fantastic stay. Self-check-in was easy. The room (Junior Suite) is very beautiful, with nice furniture and decoration. There was a welcome fruit basket as well as a small bottle of raki in the room, water, orange juice and a plate with cheese, tomatoes, olives and bread in the fridge. The room was made every day, which is unusual for an Airbnb. It's just a pity that the towels were changed every second day which is really not necessary, I’d prefer to decide for a change when necessary. The fruit basket was actually filled up every day, and during our stay we even received a box of local delicious biscuits. The room is really well equipped; there is everything you need in the kitchen and in the bathroom. The heating via air-conditioning worked very well (it was cold in March). There is a free car park approx. 5 min by foot away. This was my second stay in Rethymno and I would always come back to Petalo Suites if possible.
