WOW, just excellent – we will definitely book again

The location was perfect – right in the centre, making it easy to explore everything. The property was modern, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Free parking was a huge bonus. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

A convenient Ambleside retreat

This was a very spacious ground floor apartment with a fenced off private outdoor area. The carpark was nearby, a real plus for Ambleside. It was great knowing we could go out and there would be a carpark when we got back. Checking in via the lockbox was easy and the check in process finalised by speaking to 'Alexa". A walkway took you up to the main road right by the start of the shopping area. The kitchen had everything you would need as well as a washer/dryer. Information on the apartment was available in a folder or in more detail by asking Alexa. A lovely comfortable place to be based for a few days.

Relaxing, peaceful and luxurious stay

Beautiful, clean apartment, with everything you could need. Alexa answered most questions well. Very peaceful stay.

The quality of the kitchen tap could be better considering the rest of the property, quite a big leak sprung whilst using it, easily fixed but could do with being a bit more sturdy

Lovely apartment apart from door issue!

There was a door in the bedroom which was locked by a key from the other side (this could be seen in keyhole). This allowed access from the other side but we had no access from our side. This was a little disconcerting. We asked and were told it was a fire escape!?

The location was perfect. The property was very well equipped and extremely comfortable.

The nature of the build meant that the lounge and bedroom were dark. Also the windows were very overlooked by a sideway.

We have stayed here before - perfect location - ideal for walking and also close to local amenities. The apartment is lovely.

We had a lovely relaxing break that matched our expectations.

It was a very comfortable, modern and clean property. It was useful to have to parking permit for the car park. It was an easy walk to all the shops, bars and restaurants. There were lots of walks straight from the door so we didn't need to take the car during our stay. The ipad for checking in and out is a really good idea.

It wasn't a big problem. The sink in the bathroom is a lovely modern design, but very shallow and it takes a bit of time for the water to drain away and it can overflow very easily.

Fantastic hidden gem

Everything! The little tablet was a nice touch and helped with information within the lakes. Well equipped with everything you will need, great kitchen facilities, added extras of iron, hairdryer, first aid kit. Great communication from hosts Perfect location for walking into Ambleside, less than 5 minutes to walk into centre! Would highly recommend anyone stay at Ferndale Lodge, beautifully decorated and comfortable in all aspects! Especially the lovely sofa and bed,definitely a home from home experience

Fabulous stay at Ferndale Hideaway!

Lovely spacious apartment, nicely decorated and ideal location for Ambleside town centre. Check-In and out was contactless - instructions were very clear and straight forward. The apartment was immaculate and very clean.

Fabulous location, lovely apartment and a comfy bed!

Location was brilliant (although there is no view due its town location), walking distance from local shops, pubs and restaurants. Lots of walks from Ambleside so no need to drive anywhere. Parking was right next to the apartment. (Although you would struggle to get a space during the day.) The apartment was exceptionally clean upon arrival and the sofa and bed were really comfy. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need for a fabulous stay, and the bathroom had a fabulous shower after a day of walking too! Hosts were available throughout the stay should we have needed them although we had no issues. Would recommend.

Possibly more leaflets on recommendations for walks/restaurants/attractions etc. However we really enjoyed our stay and would still recommend.

Really smart well equipped apartment, very fresh and modern, great location, with easy parking.

I loved so many things about this apartment. It is really modern and stylish with some lovely prints, lamps and mirrors. Really clean. Sofas were super comfy and bedroom and en-suite were great too with nice shower/bath. Good TVs in both the lounge and the bedroom with access to Freeview/Netflix etc. We loved the kitchen which was well equipped with everything you could possibly need including microwave, hob, oven, dishwasher and washing machine. Nice big fridge and freezer. You would actually be very happy to live here if this was your own apartment! The hosts are very easy to get hold of and very good communication throughout. Easy to walk down to Windermere and around Ambleside. Parking permit for the car park. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment.

The only thing I can think of would be a few more hangers, but we brought too many clothes with us anyway!

The perfect getaway!

The property was in a great location with everything we needed close by. With great access to all the walks and places we planned to go. The inside of the property was perfect, really beautifully presented and super comfortable. We were able to relax after a day of hiking in great comfort. Everything was fresh and modern, clean and tidy. We were really sad to leave as it had been a great 5 days away!

Perfect

The property is in a great location, very close to the centre of Ambleside but not a far walk to waterhead either. The property itself was lovely, facilities were great including Netflix and a smart tv which was a great added bonus. I would definitely stay here again.

The parking - 9/10 managed to park in the car park right by the property but sometimes had to wait for a space to become available.
