Beautiful, the whole stay was amazing. Location is fantastic and the garden is perfect. Nothing was overlooked, little extras made the difference like the crisps and wine! even managed to park right outside which was bonus, but other members of the party used JustPark and found spaces nearby :-)

lots of cobwebs. one bed they didn’t even bother to make (just left the sheets ontop of the bed to make ourselves. I emailed them but no one even bothered to respond. Very Poor

The Crook's location in the Cotswolds was awesome! Such a charming place in Stowe-on- the-Wold with plenty of room for our party of 5. Appreciated the thoughtful gift basket with wine, eggs, and treats from Diddly Squat Farms. Enjoyed excellent food establishments within walking distance from The Crook. Wish we would have had more time to spend there . We hope to come back and stay someday!

This was an exceptional property. Clean, well equipped, great location and tastefully decorated. Felt like a home away from home. Everything was considered - extension leads in rooms, make-up mirrors, etc. If I wasn't all the way from South Africa, I would have already been back.

Very quaint cottage, near town and very traditional English architecture. It had good modern facilities, everything worked from kitchen to rooms/bathrooms.

It was summer but was cold and so the cottage was very cold. I assume there was no heating available during the summer months.

The Crook was perfect for the six of us and our furry family plenty of space and very well equipped.

We did struggle on arrival to find a parking space and although there was a "keep clear " area outside which would of been ideal to unload there was a vehicle parked there for a number of hours.

love the property - we’re return guests! real cotswolds vibe - comfy beds great courtyard. fab addition of the en suite.

Loved the location, a stone's throw away from the middle of Stow. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed.

The twin beds were very narrow (like caravan beds) but we managed. The 3 other double beds were lovely.

The location, the layout and space, the garden and everywhere was well equipped

The wifi password didn’t work. We gave up in the end. The kitchen wasn’t as spotless as I would expect I.e food crumbs and utensils needed washing again

Spacious and comfortable. Great location

A thoughtful welcome pack containing local products. A beautiful house with lovely furnishings and very comfortable beds. A modern bathroom, good shower and bath and handy to have additional downstairs toilet. A good sized property with a lovely outside space. Very clean and tidy. If you can get a space outside the house (which we did), the parking is free. A very short walk into town which has some interesting shops. We enjoyed an excellent meal at Alexiou's restaurant.

There were some finishing touches that would have made it really worth the price. For example, there is a log burner and an outside fireplace (which is an excellent feature)...but no logs. Some cushions for the outside seats would have also provided more comfort. The kitchen had lots of equipment but could have done with some decent sharp knives (my choice of butchers knife, huge cheese knife or tiny blunt knife made for interesting chopping!) - this is often an issue in holiday lets, if you're into cooking! For some, a smart TV with access to Netflix etc would also be great. Unfortunately there was an issue with the oven controls which I was able to temporarily manage but it appears that there has been an 'easy fix' to one of the controls which should have been properly repaired. It resulted in an ever-increasing oven temperature until I was able to overcome the issue! The 2 middle bedrooms had been beautifully and tastefully decorated and although the top room was lovely, it didn't feel as if the same level of input has been given to it yet...it felt a bit more standard hotel-room like than a bedroom in a house. The property is situated close to a junction with the main road and consequently there was quite a bit of noise from early in the morning (and would seem quite loud if you are not used to it) and even at times during the night. It didn't bother me too much but if you are easily disturbed and want a lie in, I would advise taking ear plugs! All these comments are for fairly minor issues that can be easily rectified to make your stay perfect!

The location in Stow is amazing. The cottage is ideally situated on the high street, so super close to all amenities. We also managed to park outside. Do note it is directly as you turn right from the main Fosse road....don't overshoot it. Great pubs, restaurants, local walks.

The cottage was ideal for what we were looking for. Location is ideal for the town. The cottage itself is fantastic. The kitchen and dining area with it's stone slab floor is special. All three bedrooms are characterful. We also enjoyed the courtyard at the back. We especially liked the welcome hamper. Such a nice touch. We had no problem parking at the front of the house. Thank you
