Quirky cottage.

It was very quirky, quite comfy. We picked the town because it had lots of pubs and eateries. It was an excellent location but unfortunately the whole town including all pubs and eateries were closed for the week we stayed.

The town closed down for the week we stayed. This made dinners and lunches very difficult. If we had known we could have been prepared but there was no notification and by the time we realised it was too late. Also some of the information folders need updating as they have conflicting instructions.

Convenient but noisy

It was very convenient for the village, walking distance everywhere. Charming interior (watch your head)

The property (and more importantly, all the bedrooms) are on the main road through town which starts with heavy traffic(trucks and lorrys) first thing in the morning. Extremely noisy! Did not have very good sleep at all. Suggest ear plugs!

More like a car boot sale than a pretty cottage with over-sized ornaments everywhere.

Enough lamps and coat hooks. TV and WiFi good. Garden pleasant.

We counted over 100 ornaments and plastic flowers around the property, all thick with dust. As well as making the place dirty, these prevented there being any free space to put things down. They also spoiled the look of the pretty little cottage rooms. Also, there are less ornaments visible in the publicity shots of the cottage which gives the wrong imp;ression. Top bedroom: shower doesn't drain, and windows too dirty to see through. Windowsill (once ornaments removed) dusty. Downstairs rooms: we would have liked to look out onto the pretty High Street, but plastic covering the windows prevented this.

Perfect for a family Christmas- would definitely love to return!

Location, secluded behind wooden door in wall, pretty courtyard, cosy, traditional cottage style- very comfortable and warm. Thank you for the real Christmas tree!

Whilst I was aware that the twin room was accessed via another bedroom, I didn’t realize it was actually via a staircase in the first bedroom with no door to the twin room- lack of sound privacy so no good if someone snores like my husband!

Absolutely loved it.

Excellent location, accommodation exactly as described, very cosy, beware if you are tall , you will bump your head. The property has all the things, utensils you might need for a stay, including an ironing board and iron.

Unfortunately there are 2 damp patches developing, i.e. getting larger, on the floor, 1 in the living room entrance, the other in the entrance hallway.

Great location. Stow and surrounding area is lovely.

We live in a quirky house with restricted heights/ceilings. The Cottage is not a suitable property for 7 adults. Maybe okay for a mix with children. The weather was good , but we’d have struggled due space in the property if it had been wet/cold. Beds, bathrooms and plumbing are really not too clever. The whole place needs a good makeover and bathroom upgrades. Whilst the welcome pack ( biscuits, crisps, milk and truffles) was very good, the 10 mls of washing up liquid is a joke ( best not bother at all). Most alarmingly no soap/ shampoo supplies in any bathroom, if you’re going to supply towels, surely you should provide soap? ( It might cost £3 for a weekend?) I’m not ignoring the watered-down hand liquid soap, but that is a health issue. Those products are formulated with preservatives, so adding water is not only a bit mean, it is also not a good idea. The location is excellent.

Perfect for a group of six plus

Fabulous location. Group of 7 of us were very comfortable. We traveled without a car and had no problem. It was a busy holiday weekend but still found reservations with a little planning.

The weather was blustery, so the house was a bit difficult to keep warm. No one to blame, just be prepared. There were a couple of lap rugs which were wonderful. We would book again anytime. It was lovely.

It was not obvious from the information provided that the ceiling was low. My husband and my father in law banged their heads several times. Also we could not find the PIN number for Amazon, Netflix or iPlayer

Comfortable, cosy cottage with lots of original features in a fabulous location

Well equipped, easy to control heating, excellent location.

One bedroom was a mezzanine above another bedroom with a shared en suite so not private. Better suited to children. Problems with the downstairs loo plumbing smelling strongly on arrival but seemed OK after that. Double bed in main bedroom had a very rickety headboard.

Quirky, cute cottage! Parking on the road right outside - not always available, but there was usually a space somewhere along the road. Great kitchen area. A lovely place for a small group of people.

Everything else. A great quirky interesting cottage, very clean, well equipped, comfortable. Great location.

The ensuite bathroom on the first floor was not great. Only cold water in the shower, mould on the wall and toilet very difficult to flash.
