location is very good and convenient in Darley Abbey, approximately 1.5 mile walk to Derby centre
The cottage is okay - as long as you don’t have mobility issues (very narrow stairs), but the management is appalling. There was no basic supplies such as toilet rolls and it was a stressful experience getting our deposit returned when they falsely tried to claim the key had not been returned to the security box (when it was). After 4 weeks of numerous calls and emails they finally agreed to return deposit (only after we had to get ready to pursue them through the small claims court and had evidence they were lying). A strict 10AM check out on Sundays.

Very uncomfortable with the nervousness of the stairs. The lack of heating instructions.
The double bedroom on the top floor. The well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Cleanliness. Location.
Warning that the open tread spiral slippy staircases were totally unsuitable for anyone who wasn’t completely fit. No instructions for the heaters. We could only get one to work. The vertical 15 inch gap in the front door which was letting in cold air to the seating area . No instructions for the WiFi . Minor points would be no hand towels and no bedside table or indeed any furniture in the single bedroom.
