A fabulous beach get-away - totally perfect!
The place was gorgeous. Set in a quiet location, close to the beach. We visited Black Rock beach 5 times and it was utterly worth the drive. Just gorgeous. Location wise, the house was perfect for sooo many fabulous places in the area. It's within easy reach of the mountains AND coast. We loved how fresh and bright the property was. Colours and furnishings, and ornaments looked very well considered. Even the pictures were beautiful with a gorgeous coastal theme (we loved the one in the main bedroom). Lovely touches like blankets and scatter cushions on the beds made it top rate! Compared to other holiday homes we've stayed at the kitchen was very well equipped and thoughtfully put together. The oven worked well and the fridge and freezer were a good size which is a rarity in a holiday home at times. It was a nice touch to have a digital radio too. Bathroom was lovely too. Well designed. Plenty of room for our gear and the shower was quite luxurious in fact. Sitting room was comfortable, pleasant and quiet especially when the younger kids had gone to bed. We especially loved the thoughtful 'recommended places' book and the notes from the family about the tradition of placing your feet on the black rock was a lovely touch. It made my heart swell. It made it seem very considered and kind, and well loved. Books to read and games to play were a lovely addition too. It was a wonderful place to stay. We'd highly recommend it. One of the best places we've stayed in many years.
Cleanliness in the kitchen could have been a smidgen better if I'm totally honest. The fridge and freezer still had remains of tiny bits of food in it which was a bit eugh. The waste bin looked like it had had better days and the baking trays were quite greasy, needed to be washed before using them. The blinds were a little broken in all bedrooms, meaning we couldn't lift them fully to open the windows and get fresh air in before bed time. But we used the half open / half closed setting on them and this worked ok though so this was a fine work around to the problem. Notes about the recycling could have been useful. We didn't see anything in the folder, but we might have missed them. We didn't realise we had the option to recycle until two days in. The catch that holds the bathroom door latch in place around the door frame kept coming off. Luckily I'd brought a small screwdriver for my sons bed guard and I was able to dix it back into place, but it could have been a problem if someone had got stuck inside the room when it came loose. But I'm really scraping the bottom of the barrel with these comments. These were all really minor things. And honestly, none of these impacted out holiday at all. Everything else was wonderful.... I'd highly recommend the house. It really is such a spacial place to stay.

Would be perfect if mattresses were better
Great location. Could walk around the coast to Porthmadog which was a great day out. The house is clean and homely.
The mattresses on the beds were soft and sunken.

Perfectly peaceful
A great location for the coastal path, visiting Portmeirion, Llyn Peninsula etc. The bungalow is on a peaceful estate, with off-road parking. A very short stroll to the beach and many more mountainous regions to explore nearby. The kitchen is well equipped, the lounge furniture is comfortable and the bungalow tastefully decorated throughout the property. The heating is also responsive when needed. It was perfect for our needs.
It was a really nice stay, this is just being picky. We found the door lock troublesome when leaving each day - this was to be rectified on our departure day, so hopefully now sorted. It would gain 5 stars if there had been a boot and coat rack by the front door, it may be less pretty but practical, particularly on wet days. Just a little more information on what is expected on departure day re linen towels etc

Very good
Lovely bright and clean and a relaxing place in a quiet road .kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook which we did and loved the dish washer and washing machine. Lovely big towels to go with a great shower. The heating was easy to work as needed.
The oven ,grill pan/rack and cooker hood and filter needs looking at as I had to clean before I could use them .The water was black from wiping oven out and filter from hood was covered in thick grease .Also a few cobwebs around the place. Things that need to be done in future to make it prefect is an extractor fan in bathroom , coat hooks in hall i know there was some in little bedroom but you cant put wet coats in a bedroom to dry & a shoe rack or tray to get them off your lovely floor .

Great relaxing atmosphere in the great location.
Location, cozy place and kitchen. Comfortable living room was great to relax after long days out.
Bed mattresses were too soft, no cloth hanger in the door way corridor (unable to dry the coats after rainy days). No dishwasher tablets, even thought it was mentioned in the welcome book.
