Fig Cottage

It was incredibly well designed and much larger than you would think! The place was very clean and perfect for a group of people. The sauna was an added bonus. It was very well located as well with great parking ability.

Location and style was lovely

Unfortunately there was a serious fly problem, which made cooking and eating difficult

Uber cool ! The design and the the interior finishing of the highest standard - beautiful cottage few minutes from the high street - modern digital infrastructure and music system was first class and even a 2 person sauna ! The owners who messaged us throughout the stay to ensure all was well deserve the highest praise. We will return and we can highly recommend this property - thank you from all the family

Fig Cottage has the wow factor. It has a stunning modern interior, and is thoughtfully set out. There is a bench by the front door to sit down and put your boots on, with trays for shoes after a muddy walk. The OS map above the bench is great for planning trips. There is a well appointed kitchen (coffee machine, microwave, cooker, hob, toaster, dishwasher, fridge, wine fridge, decent set of knives) and utility room (freezer, washing machine), a generous dining table and a huge roomy sofa by the log fire. There are three bedrooms upstairs: the beds are so comfortable we meant to check the make of mattress and pillows, but forgot. My daughter left her ukele at home, and was thrilled to find one, albeit small , in the cottage. The sideboard under the stairs housed numerous games, and my son treated us to his music, which he streamed from his mobile to speakers in the ceiling. Still not sure how he did that. We were 5 adults, and didn't feel that we were crowded in the open plan space. We did not make use of the courtyard seating, sauna, table football, wine cellar, or extensive cooking facilities as our stay was short. We will be coming back to explore the area properly, and enjoy this luxurious cottage in the future. The host is lovely, and extremely helpful. Highly recommended.
