Appartamento in centro a Mentone vicino alla spiaggia Parcheggio privato INCLUSO!

The location is excellent, and the private parking was one of the best we used during our trip along the French Riviera: easy to access, well lit and spacious enough even for a fairly large car. The apartment is practical and has everything needed for a short stay. The kitchen was clean and functional, the furniture was comfortable, and we particularly liked the bathroom: the shower worked very well, the water pressure and temperature control were excellent, and everything was convenient to use. The living room has a very comfortable sofa and a TV that can be connected to a mobile device. Francesca, who met us on arrival and again at check-out, was friendly and pleasant to deal with.

The main problem for us was the lack of proper ventilation and fixed air conditioning. The apartment became very stuffy, especially at night. There is only a portable air-conditioning unit, which has to be moved between rooms and used with a large hose placed through an open window. This means the window cannot be fully closed, so at night we could clearly hear normal street noise, including people outside and early-morning rubbish collection. The portable unit also leaked some water onto the floor. After our first night, we found the combination of poor ventilation, heat and outside noise uncomfortable enough that we chose to sleep elsewhere for the second night. The apartment and some of its fittings also felt quite dated and would benefit from renovation and better maintenance, particularly the ventilation system in the kitchen. We were also surprised to be asked for an additional €20 on arrival because we arrived later than the standard check-in time, although we had informed the accommodation in advance about our delayed flight and expected arrival time.
