We loved the feel and look of the house. It was clean and the staff were friendly. We had taken over the whole house bar one room so the access to the kitchen and lounge room was perfect.

The spaces were lovely - spacious and beautiful. And we did use the salon for reading and the dining room / kitchen for breakfast - excellent!

The communication was poor. Something to improve at every touchpoint. The worst was me asking for a late check out via 3 channels, without any response. If you have a un-manned place that is perfectly fine - i loved the place - but you have to excel at communication; this was not the case

Beautiful room- finished to a high standard. Very welcoming host. 5-10 min walk to the centre of the shopping area.

Didn’t realise it didn’t have an elevator - our fault for not checking before booking!

The design of the apartment is as presented and does look nice, so is the size of it.

Although the property contacted us for arrival time - which I gave them - and also wrote a msg in the booking.com communication with the property reconfirming my arrival time, not only was nobody there but also none of the phone numbers was available to be reached. After numerous attempts and messages and me already on the phone with booking what to do, I finally got the message on booking with doorcode and code for the keybox inside - which was a generic mail that could have been sent way earlier. When replying and complaining about the wasted time and phone expenses, i received a simple 'sorry, but we didn't have your email' - which is absolutely not necessary to send the info (that's what booking.com is for as well). That the feedback came only the next morning didn't convince me either. In addition, while I didn't check in detail and so can't blame the apartment for it, just be aware that the two floors of steep stairs will be good fun with heavy luggage. Regarding the apartment, while the design was nice, it was rather impractical, made for the looks rather than comfort - and I talk simple things like at least a bit storage for clothes other than a hanger or a place to put the shower gel when using the bathroom etc. Finally, both A/C and wifi were not all the time well functioning, the apartment got quite warm eventually. All in all, for that price in what is also not a particularly sexy area one can do much better in Bordeaux, as we saw two weeks before when we stayed one night in a hotel not too far away.
