The lodging is a ground-level lower floor basement opening to a large patio with outdoor shower leading to a beautiful woods-facing backyard. The owners live on premises and are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area and graciously share their enthusiasm for it. The front yard, with comfortable seating, koi pond with running water, fire pit, and gorgeous plantings and landscaping is yours to use or share with the owners. The indoor space is large with full-size living room/dining area, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. Everything you could possibly need or have forgotten to bring is provided. It is clean, quiet, cozy, comfortable, and peaceful, and only 2 miles from the city limits.
We lacked for nothing. Our only negative was the slightly chilly and wet weather that precluded our use of the outdoor spaces, but we kept very busy exploring Charlottesville and the surrounding areas.
