Loved the location, ease of access to surrounding walks and closeness to the shop. The house itself had everything needed to make our stay in the Lakes as comfortable as possible. Plenty of places to sit around the house as well as interesting maps / pictures on the walls was a plus. Also enjoyed being able to watch the sheep outside the back window.
I can't say anything good about our experience both collecting the keys and trying to find the house. Contradicting information via emails was an issue - we were supposedly able to check in from 15:00 onwards on the day of arrival, but then could only collect the keys from 17:00 on? Having travelled six hours to get to the Lakes, that wasn't well-received.
The instructions for finding the keys were extremely vague and made worse by the fact that the name of the company/building we were looking for did not match the name actually on the building. This resulted in our spending twenty minutes walking up and down the village (Elterwater) before we found the office. The instructions to find the house itself were convoluted and the name of the house didn't match what was on the email either.
Would be great if Wheelrights (yes, that's the name of their company / office) could rewrite the instruction email to facilitate guests being able to find the cottage location easier.

Its a great location. Lots of good walks. Was comfy and clean.
This property is fine if you do not require or want to sit outside. Advertised as having terrace. please note there is no out door space or area to sit it is basically a flat. Very Hot . Parking an issue.
