Wow On Wanaka Bay - beachfront living at its best

The view of the beach front is great. Kitchen is fully functional. The rooms are OK.

Owner got a management company to deal with me for check-in. They wanted my credit card details and even passports before giving me the code to the lock box 15minutes before 3pm (expected arrival time). There was no parking available in the unit. We had to park on public parking outside. This was only made known to us just before we arrived. Owner using the 1st floor while we were using the basement. Access to the basement is from the back of the house. TV provided but no services. Management gave very specific cleaning instructions but when I made my reservation with Booking.com I already paid for cleaning services. Everything comes with a price with this management co. Not too happy with that. Also booking for this unit didn't come cheap. Nothing was mentioned that we are taking the basement. Photos shown never clearly indicate either. A bit of a false advertisement to me. Location is a bit far from town center but I choose this place because of the beach and view.

I didn’t like how there was padlock in main room, mirror wardrobe stating owner’s storage. If we are booking the place thn every door and cupboards should be accessible inside house so that we can check and feel safe. and also I didn’t feel safe parking my car on road. key safe box is located near side door which was not mentioned to me and took us a while to figure out where it was since everyone would think it will be near front door and after hours call to bach break was not going through.
