Too expensive for what you get

We had an excellent 3 night stay at La Sapinière. The hotel is a short walk to the main pedestrian zone but far enough away from the noise. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Beautiful views of the mountains from the balcony. The breakfast was great, many options for vegetarians and vegans - vegetarian meatballs, veggies, bread, jams, plant milks. The staff was wonderful too! We would happily stay here again!

The location is very nice and the view from the terrace and the room was amazing.

The room needs serious renovations. The furniture is old, and the bathroom door does not close properly. The only reason for the high price seems to be the view, but overall the room is not worth the money. The staff were not very pleasant. We left our luggage for 3 days and paid upfront, but when we returned a day earlier, we were told it was not possible to refund the extra day. This was disappointing, especially since at the time of payment we were told it was necessary to pay immediately, not upon collection of the luggage.
