Perfect for a weekend getaway.

The cottage itself was lovely. Perfect size for a weekend getaway. The deck was lovely and shaded. It was clean and well stocked.

The noise from the busy road behind the cottages was a little disappointing, but you get used to it after a while. The lake was really dry (understandable for the time of year). It was still a lovely getaway.

Beautiful and had a lot of history

Nothing. Just wouldn’t recommend going with small children. It’s a small cabin. It’s more of a relaxing get away then a place for kids to run around in.

ein kleines Fleckchen Idylle mitten in Texas

Mein Partner und ich waren außerhalb der Saison dort, weshalb die umliegenden Häuser größtenteils unbewohnt waren – entsprechend ruhig und erholsam war es. Das Haus ist vollständig ausgestattet und bietet alles, was man braucht. Direkt vor der Tür gibt es zudem einen Parkplatz für das Auto. Insgesamt eine wirklich wunderbare Unterkunft, die ich jederzeit wieder buchen würde.

An ein bis zwei kälteren Nächten mussten wir kurz die Heizung einschalten, die dabei etwas muffig roch. Vermutlich lag das einfach daran, dass sie vor unserem Aufenthalt mehrere Monate nicht in Betrieb war.
