The room was very nice and comfortable. We couldn't ask for more. It's also in the walking distance from the city centre and old town. There are both shops and bars nearby.
The surroundings of the hotel are not very appealing. Some buildings around were old, neglected and almost falling apart. Also, the kitchen was really cramped.

Great value for money in a nice area easily walkable to the centre. Everything was clean and the WiFi was fast. We were particularly impressed with the fast, helpful response of the owner to our questions. Despite being on a road it was quiet.
Our flat was dark and the decoration was not very nice with a kind of patchwork of plastic panelling . Not the kind of place to spend hours hanging around in, but then Riga is such a wonderful city that we didn't need to!

Situated just outside the hustle and bustle of the centre of this wonderful city, the flat we rented was mega cosy, warm, retroTASTIC and with more than all the facilities we needed for our fab four night stay in Riga. The lovely lovely landlady put some chocolate covered strawberries in our room prior to our arrival and told us we could put the heating on at any time - not that it was needed - making us feel so at home that we would have rearranged our return flights and stayed longer had I not had to work. We explored the gorgeous (many cobbled) neighbouring streets and national stadium/gallery/peaceful park nearby plus so many other things during our stay, sometimes using the great electric scooters found on most corners. We'll definitely stay at the Eco Flats again, not least because of the cleanliness, outstanding value and novelty (think seventies-eiighties-nineties scout/guide expedition mash up). Also because the landlady unexpectedly and generously paid for our taxi to the airport on our last day because we were running late and were in a panic. WE LOVE YOU RIGA/ECO FLATSSSSSS ❤️

The accommodation was ok, everything was clean and prepared.
There is no way to contact the host apart from email... Except of luckily coinciding with it.
