Historic home with lots of character. Excellent mattress, quiet.
Instructions to get into the room could be more clear.

Lipton Place is in a great location. The staff are exceptionally helpful. If there is a negative (and my overall score of 8 does reflect this) the decor is a bit quirky. For example the led starlit sky over the bed, and the fake fire in the fireplace - and the curtains have the linings in the room and the patterned fabric facing the outside ... but overall a comfortable place to stay.

We instantly fell in love with that building and our room that combined historical Victorian style design and modern comfort.The room (we actually had two) was spacious and even had sauna in it. And the patio was huge and had all needed furniture on it. We loved sitting at the patio and reading in the evenings or just looking at the water. We had a microwave, teapot, and refrigerator in the room and kerig machine with various coffees and teas in the hall. Yang was very welcoming and attentive. If we go to Victoria again, we will try to stay at Lipton place.
We liked everything. It’s not in a walking distance from downtown and most of the restaurants but we were ok to drive. It was part of the fun.
