A beautiful, spacious apartment in the heart of Lucca! Nicely decorated and equipped with everything you need. The large roof terrace is a wonderful oasis of tranquillity! The hosts are very friendly and helpful! Villa de Maestri comes highly recommended!

The ideal embodiment of La Dolce Vita!

This property, originally occupied by the owner’s ancestors, is exquisite. Tastefully curated and well-appointed, it provides the most fantastic base for a stay in Lucca! It is in the heart of the action but is still a quiet oasis in this most beautiful city. Everything in Lucca is either a short/very short walk away eg a bakery called Forno a Vapore, which sells the best focaccia we ever had, is a one minute walk away! The owners were delightful and helpful at all times. This property is unique and quite magical and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

An absolutely beautiful apartment showing Lucca and its culture under one roof. No expense spared. It had everything you could possibly think of!! Including the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on and a beautiful terrace.

Beautiful classical apartment lovingly restored, lovely private big terrace, excellent facilities. The hosts Nico and Fabio are proud of their apartment and its family history and are very kind. Great central location.

We usually take the stairs anyway, but it’s long stair climb for people who may not. The lift is due in September ‘25.

Amazing, the photos or descriptions don’t do it justice.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Nico and Fabio, went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The house was beautifully decorated, with a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comforts. The location is perfect for exploring the beautiful walled city. Nico provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants and activities, ensuring we experienced the best of the region. We stayed late September/October which was perfect to enjoy the outdoor terrace and balcony for a drink/nibble. While the apartment was located on Level 3, Nico and Fabio helped us with our luggage. It truly felt like a home away from home, and I can't wait to return! I will definitely recommend to any friends.

The stairs would not be suitable for everyone but we were fine with it. Nico mentioned a lift is going to be installed.

A month of bliss!

Beautiful, comfortable apartment with a real Italian feel. Great balcony and living accommodation. Nico and Fabio were always on hand if I needed help and were very friendly and flexible.

The stairs but I understand a lift is being installed in Autumn 2024. A parasol would be helpful on the balcony as it gets really hot at times.

A special occasion in a very special place

Villa De Maestri is a sumptuous, beautiful apartment in the centre of Lucca. We went for a special birthday treat and it was beyond our expectations. Nico and Fabio are simply fabulous co-hosts who really have thought of everything to ensure that your stay is wonderful. We are now spoiled to stay anywhere else in Lucca or elsewhere! We really hope to be back next year .

Truly a memorable, very unique experience in the heart of historic Lucca!

Every detail of Villa De Maestri has been painstakingly thought out. The hosts Nico and Fabio restored the Villa to perfect historical detail combined with every modern comfort you could imagine. It’s very spacious and includes the most beautiful rooftop terrace you’ll find in Lucca. Nico and Fabio were more than gracious hosts who became like family. The hosts helped in arranging a special authentic Italian dinner for us that we’ll never forget!

Exceptional appartment with an exciting historical flair.

We were a party of three colleagues visting Lucca for a conference. Luckily we found this is exceptional appartment in the center of Lucca, which is for us the best accomodation we ever had in Lucca. The hosts were very welcoming and the large newly renovated appartment with it's historic flair really exciting. We really liked all the amenities we found. Next year we will be happy to come again!

Perfect appartement and wonderful hosts

We absolutely loved staying at Villa De Maestri. The flat is very large, with big and bright rooms, lots of cozy decorations, and everything we could need for cooking, as well as cleaning supplies and our own washing machine. The flat is right at the center of Lucca, but at a fairly quiet square, so there was not any noises bothering us. The hosts were very easy to get in touch with, and any issues were resolved very fast. Even before arriving, the hosts offered us helpful and detailed tips on how to get to Lucca, what to see, where to park etc. There are a large number of very good restaurants within walking distance, as well as any other type of store, one might need, while on holiday; in fact, everything within Lucca city walls is a maximum of 5 minute's walk from the flat. The air conditioning and the wi-fi worked perfectly. The flat is on the 3rd floor of the building, and we could easily see, how much our shape was improving after just a few days of climbing those stairs. :-) The hosts were kindly helping us with the luggage upon arrival and departure. Lucca is beautiful, and there is lots to see in the city itself, as well as in the region.

Perfect stay in Lucca!

We loved everything about Villa de Maestri. It is a huge apartment with super attentive hosts Nicola & Fabio. The gave us perfect information on where to park and restaurant tips prior to arrival. Upon arrival we were welcomed with the keys, a tour of the villa, wine, drinks and personal snacks. The villa has everyting you need for the most enjoyable stay in the center of Lucca. Comfortable beds, supersoft towels, all the kitchen equipment and appliciances one would possibly need. We loved the terrace for allfresco lunch and a evening glass of wine underneath the Tuscan stars. The pictures online don't live up to the actual experiece, it is much nicer and bigger than we could have told. It is one of those places that you actually want to keep a secret, but not sharing would not be fair to these great hosts that deserve to have their business grow.

We can't think of anything. An elevator is planned in the near future so we heared. For us it was no problem climbing the stairs.
