Avalon Escape: Everything Within Walking Distance!

The property is in a quiet section of the town. We were able to have an early check-in.

We notified the host on the first day that the bathroom doorknob fell out (locking me in until a friend let me out) and they said someone would come fix it, but they never came.

We loved the history of the house and that it was far enough away from town to be in a quiet area. We also loved reserving a 3-bedroom house with 2 full bathrooms.

The rugs were filthy. We were told to take our shoes off, and our socks were ruined. Please get them cleaned. Some of kitchen appliances, pots, plates, and cups must be replaced. The toaster only works if you hold the button down, some pots are not fit to be used, and there are chipped cups, plates, and glasses. Broken door knob in a bedroom, and it was never fixed as requested. A guest was locked it! Confusing TV and horrible Wi-Fi.

When we first walked in everything was very nice. It had everything you would need. Our visit to Avalon town was amazing. And made the whole visit worth it.

The first part that was very upsetting was the fans in the rooms. I understood there was no air-conditioning but the fans were filthy. I had to scrape and vacuum them before we could use them. My mom is 90 and both of us have asthma. Second was the room with the trash cans, really!! The curtains had mildew on them. A quick wash would have been helpful. At the end of our visit we stripped the beds as on the rules. My mother and sister had been sleeping on a blood stained and mildewed foam mattress topper and the cover sheets were full of blood stains. I sent an email to Veronica but I never heard back. I hope the next visitors have a cleaner place to stay.
