Suite Homes Apartamentos Plaza de la Merced

The apartment is very pretty with high ceilings and modern furniture. The bed was very comfortable and the sofa bed was good too. The hosts had coffee capsules available and I appreciated the shower gel and shampoo that was provided. The room was comfortable for a family and the location is perfect! It has many restaurants below that were lively. Even though it was loud at night outside, the balcony doors and windows are soundproof and the noise did not bother us at all!

I liked everything. I would only suggest that the AC made less noise and that they provide a bath mat and cabinet in the bathroom.

The apartment was in a perfect location. Loved the atmosphere of Plaza de la Merced, will definitely look to stay in the area again in the future. The apartment was well equipped and very clean. The communication for accessing the apartment was excellent (all done through whatsapp), also it felt very safe and secure.

Just one slight comment, the bathroom door may need to be checked as both myself and friend found it difficult to open.

The apartment is located in the perfect location, near the center but also enough outside to find easy parking (as you can’t enter city center with the car). It is located in an historical building and has an amazing view on the city and on plaza de la merced. Perfect if you also want to go to the bars located in the plaza. The apartment is really nice and beautiful, really adviced for couples and group of friends.

Very few not to like for this apartment. The only things I can say are that the sofa-bed wasn’t prepared when we arrived and things were left for us to prepare. The only other downside is the noise, as it being a old historic building soundproofing is limited, and this becomes worse considering you have bars under the apartment. For us it was no problem but I can understand people could have an issue with it.

Location is nice, neighbouring Picasso's birth place. The apartment has so much potential, but it is badly maintained, like most of the things in Spain. They just don't care.

First thing when we entered the apartment we got hit by a horrible smell from the bathroom. Like a shit canal was in our apartment. I immediately told the manager of the apartment and I got a reply "Sorry sorry, we will try to do something". Of course nothing happened that day. It was Sunday, OK I understand. But then Monday nothing as well, no sign from the manager. On Tuesday we left. Luckily I managed to cover the shower drainage system (where that horrible smell was coming from) with a wet towel. It worked just as much to not feel that smell inside the house, but in the bathroom you could still feel it. Also, VERY NOISY! On the street below there is a restaurant and also people shouting in the night. The windows are the cheapest ones and of course no sound insulation. The managers left us earplugs which we had to use. Probably we are not the first ones who say it was noisy. Then, the bathroom door has an antique and faulty locking system. You need force to make it stay closed. My wife and daughter had trouble with it. Then, the walls were having signs of bad finishing, just crappy work. The sink battery was also very small for normal use.
