Gasvrou was vriendelik het ons gewys waar alles was en Rusks,Tee,Koffie was on the house. Skoon en netjiese verbly. Toilet is pragtig en skoon.

Like coming home.

Immediately felt like a familiar home. Old fashioned meets new additional space. Simple but sufficient for my needs, and an ideal base to explore that part of the Cape coast. The train was a casual tour guide and moving viewing platform for all the memories of the area that I was chasing. The ever-changing Cape weather made every morning, afternoon, and evening a different view across the bay. If you are walking and not wary of stairs, there are a few different approaches to the beach and hillside surrounds for wonderful views. The beach always has room for you if you drive too, and the neighboring towns are minutes away. Fish Hoek is, in my opinion, the friendliest town on the peninsula.

My only regret is not bringing someone with and spending more time at Uitsig.

There was no breakfast. The location ok.

The owner needs to tell you there are stairs everywhere and it is for mountain goats and not elderly people. With the sloping roof you need to be very short or you will knock yourself stupid.

Perfect seaside break in great location with lovely hosts!

It’s a beautiful old house, the spacious bedroom and sitting room are in the loft looking over the beach. What a view! Great lazy beach days in Fishhoek. Our hosts were so lovely and welcoming, we really enjoyed staying with them. The steep stairs to the outside but private bathroom were fine, just take it slowly!

To beautiful to miss out on

We fell in love with the view of the beach, the history, the slow pace and the friendly faces. It felt as if we were in another world. Walking along side the calm waters. The train that passes by. The unexpected beautiful art on town walls... With every sunrise and sunset our souls grew richer and calmer. Wish we could have stayed another week. It feels like there is so much left to explore!
