The Courtyard Suite by Margate Suites

The location was excellent - right on the beach and close to many fab bars and restaurants. The decoration of the place is so gorgeous and unique. It felt like such a fun escape to a kitschy little dreamworld. Everything was clean and well equipped. Easy check in and out. Would return in a heartbeat.

Be aware the stairs are a little tricky with a suitcase but well worth the effort if you’re physically able.

The property needs a good deep clean - the fan was covered in dust and there was dust and quite worn finishings, and in this heatwave a second fan would be better so both bedrooms can have one to sleep comfortably.

We loved this apartment! The decor is what attracted us to book here, and it did not disappoint. A really beautiful and unique place, perfectly located. It's a gorgeous place with lots of natural light and a relaxing feel. It was very clean throughout and there were lots of thoughtful touches. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook, but the location is conveniently close to restaurants and takeaways. A perfect base for our trip to Margate! We did not meet our host but communication was great, with clear check-in instructions, and we knew how to get hold of Anais if we needed to. Great value - hard to believe that it would have cost more for a Premier Inn than for the mermaid palace of our dreams! 🐚🧜‍♀️💖 Thanks for a brilliant stay!

We knew it was an upstairs flat, so this is by no means a complaint, but the stairs are particularly steep, so this is something for other potential guests to bear in mind if you are likely to struggle with this.

excellent location, kids loved the decor. Very well appointed kitchen and attention to detail, generous supplies (inc loo rolls). Outside space. We were worried about lack air conditioning but the apartment was very breezy and this was not a problem. Good WiFi and usb ports

Lots of steep stairs! Our apartment had no sea view nor balcony. The biggest problem was the lack of hot water. 5 of us came off the beach wanting to shower and go for dinner reservation and there was only hot water for 1.5 showers.
