About this house rental
Dear Vrbo Renter, my house is also a residence when not rented. So don't be alarmed about some food or personal belongings you might find. My policy is, eat anything you want, but please don't take the personal belongings:) Also, our house requires some continual maintenance, and renovations (currently not in my budget.) But it's a good basic dwelling. Let me apologize for any inconvenience. I have been working hard to take care of issues with the house. Just wanted to give a heads up, about your rental.
So, there is currently no wifi andno air conditioning. Also the cell signals are sort of weak. So don't expect a lot of "home office" work! Also, you might encounter some insects in and around the house.
Everything works in the house, the stove, fridge, lights, heat, etc. but at little back-dated. Propane tank for hot water and stove. Near Jacksonport. Just turn (north) on 57, and I'm 1.2 miles up the road. 6678 Hwy 57.

On State Hwy 57, your private sand beach on the lake Michigan, drive across the peninsula to the Bay and indulge in some of the greatest restaurants and shopping and trendy boutiques and bars.
Bring your bikes and your kayaks. Only 1 mile from kayak rentals in Jacksonport. And the notorious Island Fever Rum Bar in Jacksonport.
You will enjoy full use of the house, including but not limited to the private sand-beach, the patio w/Weber gass grill, the kitchen, living room, 2 full bathrooms, 3 private bedrooms, (3 full size beds total), free free antenna tv.
There is no air conditioning, or wifi, 🤬but the house was designed to be wonderful, and air flow from the large Windows! (And the lake effect.). The house was brilliantly designed in the early 90’s semi-renovated, all season residence.
Door County is a great vacation area with lots of outdoor activities in the summer! There are some great restaurants nearby, as well as art galleries, festivals, state and county parks, etc. And look into the seasonal farmers markets.
I am pet friendly, but please alert me if you want to bring your animals. Also, I have had some issues with squirrels and mice!! So your pets might love it more than you!!

A very Nice stay. Door county can be really noisy in August but this location is nice and quiet. It was delightful to walk out barefoot to the beach. The kitchen was also quite conducive to having meals at the site.

There were a couple things that were a little off. Initially, I had some difficulty with communication with the host. So, just anticipate that he may take a little longer to answer questions. I'm a little sensitive to cigarette smoke, and it did smell in various parts of the house. The upstairs toilet needs some repair as the toilet runs all the time. My husband looked at it and said there is a problem with the stopper and the float. Additionally, that toilet started leaking, not a lot but we did have to wipe up water from the floor on 2 occasions during our 2 day stay. The other thing is the downstairs fan in the bathroom is really loud which is an issue when someone is in the shower downstairs and someone is trying to sleep upstairs. Also, several cigarette filters were found in pots and pans and there were dirty dishes in the sink when we got there. The view is great and the short walk to the beach was great. The grill was really good as well.
