For anyone who appreciates peace and quiet and the beauty of nature, our vacation home “Schöne Auszeit” is the ideal starting point for unforgettable vacation experiences. Come visit us and enjoy a wonderful time in the Hümmling Nature Park! An extensive network of hiking and biking trails awaits you, allowing you to discover the beautiful Emsland region. We look forward to welcoming you as our guests soon!
The vacation home offers ideal accommodations for families and dog owners in a natural setting.
The first floor features a cozy living room, a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and freezer compartment, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. There is also a comfortable double bedroom. The upper floor features two twin bedrooms—one of which has its own TV—and another bathroom with a shower and toilet. A high chair is available for families.
A special highlight of the house is the garden with a covered, wind-protected patio, which is ideal for relaxing outdoors. The vacation home offers free Wi-Fi, making your stay even more enjoyable.
The natural surroundings of Hümmling invite you to relax and enjoy yourself. The Sögel vacation home area is a paradise, especially for dog owners. The surrounding forests, meadows, ponds, and castle grounds offer numerous opportunities for walks.

Our vacation home “Schöne Auszeit” is a smoke-free home.
As guests in the Sögel vacation home area, you can take advantage of a wide range of recreational activities in the town of Sögel (prices subject to change):
- At the “Fitness & Gesundheit Sögel” gym (approx. 1,600 m from the vacation home area) and Era-Gym Sögel (approx. 2,500 m from the vacation home area): free weights area, cardio equipment, strength training machines, and various classes / day pass: 10.00 EUR per person, including water and mineral drinks
- Sauna area at the Hotel Clemenswerther Hof with two saunas (60°C and 90°C) / 1,500 meters from the vacation home area / Fee: 12.50 EUR per person per day, including water and tea / Please bring your own towels and, if needed, a bathrobe
- Indoor tennis court and outdoor tennis facilities at TV-Rot-Gold Sögel e. V. / approx. 1,600 m from the vacation home area / Fee per outdoor court per hour: 6.00 EUR / Indoor courts: price upon request
- Sögel Climbing Forest: 10% discount on the regular ticket price / approx. 500 m from the vacation home area
- Boules court, including balls / approx. 1,600 m from the vacation home area / Free to use
- Outdoor chess board with large pieces in the vacation home area / Free to use
The Sögel vacation home area will be expanded at the end of 2026. Noisy construction work will begin in November 2026 and end in March 2027. No construction work will take place between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Quiet hours in the Sögel vacation home area will be observed even during construction!
