Beach Accesses for ALL Prominence homes are via South Walton public beach access points. Most Prominence guests utilize Deer Lake State Park beach access or other nearby public beach accesses. Prominence homes do not have direct beach access via Watersound Club nor do they have access to Watersound private club facilities.
INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.
E-Checks are accepted for advance reservations at no additional charge (15 days prior to check in). All credit card payments will incur a 3.5% convenience fee.

Stay was decent. Unstable wifi (maximum 20 minutes availability upon resetting router) was extremely frustrating trying to conduct a little business while on vacation. Secondly, depending on your provider you will not have phone service when in residence. You'll need to go for a walk to get an open signal. These two items put a damper on our stay. Finally, dryer heating element was out. Dryer duct was disconnected from wall. Lent was everywhere. Apparently, no one was coming behind cleaning people to ensure there work was conducted up to par.
In this day and age having stable wifi is critical. Based on this one item we will not be staying at Prominence in the future. Overall nice location, however at price point it would be expected not to have these issues.

Couldn’t have ask for a better vacation. We love 30A. The golf cart was wonderful as a life saver. The girls rode the bikes some and they were delivered within a few hours of our arrival. Two close beach accesses were open and we loved the one west of Prominence because it was so close.
The girls loved the shopping and the big chill.
We will return for sure !! ❤️

The property was everything we hoped it to be. The house, location, and amenities were amazing. The golf cart and bikes were a big plus.

When I asked my family what they most wanted in a beach stay they said three things: closeness to the beach, a golf cart and a pool. The most important one was closeness to the beach because my Dad was trouble with his knees and walking. We were all so upset when we found the beach access has almost a mile down the road and there was no close parking for the truck or golf cart at the beach access. When we come to the beach- we set up at 9 and leave at 6, it’s an all day affair so needless to say we have a lot of stuff. The lack of closenesss to the beach and then the incredibly hard beach access to work with was almost a trip ruiner. We made the most of it but the listing was completely misleading and they hook you in with the hub which is a bunch of overpriced shops and eateries. The house had everything else but no view. Overall we made the most of our trip because we don’t have bad vacations but I will never stay here or on this part of 30A ever again.
