Wonderful room

Beautifully decorated apartment conveniently located in the old town center. Comfortable bed and large bathroom. Easy check in system.

Not much equipment to prepare food. The room has a great little kitchenette with fridge, dishwasher, kettle und cooker. Unfortunately there were only one very large pasta /soup pan and a (damaged) frying pan at hand. Which is not much if you want to cook a simple meal or even just a porridge.

The odor was what we remember most-Maybe it would have been better without it

Location was great.

We could not figure out how to use the shower and there was a strong odor the entire time we were there that smelled like turpentine or Diesel fuel. It kind of made us sick while we slept in the room

Adorable modern apartment with German charm in the heart of Gengenbach

The property was right in the center of everything which made it really convenient to visit shops and restaurants. It had an adorable German charm but was updated and modern.

There were a few things that kept me from rating our stay higher. First, it was difficult to find the apartment. Our directions kept take us to a street behind the building so we had to manually figure it out. Then the tower next to the building was under construction so instead of enjoying the quiet, peaceful town we were subjected to the screeching of the construction equipment and couldn’t enjoy the apartment with the windows open. The sink area had a slight mildew smell. And last the hall had a very bright motion light that would go on after dark. It would only flash though and there is no bedroom door so when I got up in the night it was an extremely bright, annoying flash.

Great location. Clean unit. I would stay again for sure.

The Location was awesome! It is as close to downtown Gengenbach as you can possibly get. This makes walks in the city a breeze, especially in the early morning. The apartment was very clean and had nearly everything you'd need.

Parking... Parking in the area is a huge pain. This is very much a problem as you can not park close to the unit. I would suggest parking near the Kinzig river, and just walking the short distance to the unit. This offers all day parking, while many of the other paid parking is increments of two hours. With an abnormally hot June this year, it was rather warm in the unit. It would have been amazing if the unit had a supplied fan.

The appartment was just beautiful and very clean. It has got every detail and there is an amazing atmosphere. We had a very romantic time in this appartement and the beautiful town Gengenbach. The location was great. It is both central to the city and is in a particularly quaint alley. Communications with the host were simple and clear. Entry was as described and simple.

Be prepared to complete the city tax form and have cash on-hand.

Very good

This was a beautiful place in an amazing little town. It was full of character and really nicely presented. It was great staying somewhere so old and in such a lovely location. Gengenbach itself was a brilliant place, loads of restaurants and cafes in beautiful countryside.

We wanted to be able to cook and eat a meal together but this was hard as the largest room with the big table and 4 chairs couldn't be used as you couldn't put anything hot on it and there were no mats or heat proof cloth. There was no kettle but the hosts provided one when we asked. All the apartments (we rented 3) were perfect for couples, but less good for a family.

no air conditioning - poor instructions about how to find the property - poor instructions about parking - would never stay there again- communication lacking, no one met us to let us in, the hosts did not even try to make us more comfortable ( offer to bring fans, etc) when the apartment was beyond stuffy and miserably hot.

Perfect location in a nice studio apartment.

Perfect location; nice clean, newly renovated building and studio.

Check in was a bit cumbersome as the key to our room was not in the automated key dispenser but communication with the property was quick and easy. The bathroom door is a sliding barn door which leaves lots of space open on either side (not the greatest privacy) and they need better light blocking curtains as the room is a bit bright at night

Extra special place in the middle of everything

The property is located on the wall that used to protect the town. You can smell and feel history. It was newly refurbished to a high standard to meet all modern needs. Exceptional taste and fluffy towels!

It had no kettle/ toaster but I could still boil water either in a pan or in the super-duper coffee machine. And there are plenty of nice places to have breakfast around. Highly recommend it. We shall be back!

Tolles Erlebnis, gern wieder!

Tolle Unterkunft, in einem alten Fachwerkhaus, das ist ein besonderes Erlebnis. Trotzdem alles neu, sauber und top ausgestattet. Das Bett sehr komfortabel, Matratze schön stabil. Das Bad außergewöhnlich schön eingerichtet. Top WLAN Empfang.

Es roch etwas müffelig. Die Treppe ist herausfordernd, sehr eng und mit großen Koffer schwierig hinaufzusteigen. Besser ein Zimmer unten buchen, falls man damit Schwierigkeiten hat.

Lage war gut

Die Heizung ging nicht, es gab keine Handtücher, staubiger Fussboden Bis die Vermieterin festgestellt hat, dass die heizung nicht geht und wir uns eine andere Unterkunft suchen müssen vergingen 2 Stunden in der Kälte. Keine Entschuldigung, nichts. Sehr unproffessionelles Verhalten der Vermieterin.

Das Appartment ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit allem, was man für einen schönen Aufenthalt braucht.

Eine Anmerkung: Wir hatten zwei große Hnadtücher und ein normales. Das war überhaupt kein Problem, wahrscheinlich ein Versehen, ich möchte nur versichern, wir haben kein Handtuch mitgenommen. Die Unterkunft ist wunderbar.

Me dejé un colgante muy importante para mí y tuvieron la amabilidad de enviármelo. Quedé muy agradecida. Por lo demás, está muy bien situado en el centro de Gengenbach y cerca de la estación de tren. Es muy agradable. Repetiría.

Grundsätzlich schick

Apartment in passender Größe, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, problemloser kontaktloser check in (ich habe nichts gegen Menschen die mich begrüßen, manchmal ist es einfach sehr angenehm wenn man nach einem langen Arbeitsreichen Tag eifach eine Nummer in ein Kästchen eintippt und zack seinen Schlüßel in der Hand hat), alles tiptop sauber,

TV leider nur mit Rakuten oder NEtflix nutzbar, bei großer Hitze auch Nachts kaum abkühlung (in den alten historischen Gebäuden ist das mit einer AC immer sehr schwierig - trotzdem mir wars nachts unangenehm heiß) 147,- für eine einfache Übernachtung

La comunicació amb l’hostatge. Sempre contestaren en alema tot hi escriure-los en anglès. Varen oferir servei de bicicletes i després no en tenien. Molt descortesos per escrit en les seves comunicacions.
