About this house rental
WOW! It would take a true artistic writer to put in words what my eyes are seeing right now. The sun is setting over a 180 degree view, from 2000 feet above the valley, sitting between the lower stratus clouds and upper cirrus cloud layers. I want to stop writing this and simply sit on the deck with a glass of good wine and take in what nature is serving up right now. But that would require me to remove myself from the vintage leather sofa sitting in front of the glow of the fireplace. Too many choices.
I am a 7 year super host with several properties, honestly, this property has by far the best view of any I have, perhaps of any on Stratton Mountain, period! The views simply take your breath away. I know what my guests want and the family, two families, or couple that book this will be treated to an opportunity to make memories at a ridiculously nice home. This house is perfect for up to 8 or more people to share and enjoy. There is a hot tub for 5 with views of the valley. There are 3 floors with the bedrooms spread out over them, each level has its own full bath. The great room has an open living plan with kitchen, dining and living room. The three floors offer separation between guests so there is a variety of environments to satisfy all guests, from the ping pong table downstairs, to the reading nook loft above the great room. Put the kids downstairs and let them go crazy on the xbox while the adults enjoy a romp in the hot tub and a fine dinner at the antique hand made wooden dining table. The bedding is gorgeous. the rooms are decorated to perfection. The kitchen is not a gourmet space but very adequate for the job. The house has great wifi, cable tv, netflix, smart apps and more. This was our second stay at this beautiful home and both my and my kids personal favorite place to stay when we ski in Stratton. It’s the perfect layout for adults to enjoy adult time upstairs while the kids play pool and watch movies in the finished basement and beautiful bunk room. This is the perfect Ski house for a family or just adults. The hot tub takes it to the next level with views of the mountains from the wraparound deck. All in all perfection to a tee high up in the trees!

I have stayed twice now at this residence and both times left pleased with my experience. There is plenty of faces for the family (or groups) to spread out and enjoy themselves without sacrificing privacy. The hot tub is top notch with a sunset view second to none! Stratton is a few minutes away via car and the house comes with a parking pass that adds an extra layer of convenience to the stay. To complete the experience, the host has set up the property to allow for a very seamless entry and exit. This is a highly recommended property for anyone who may be interested in the area!

The house was perfect for my family. Our group consisted of myself, my sister, my son and daughter-in-law, and two young (2 years and 6 mos.) grandsons. The view of Bromley was spectacular and it was close to Stratton, where some of us enjoyed down-hill and Nordic skiing. My only suggestions would be to ensure the driveway was plowed and cindered prior to arrivals at it was very steep. We arrived while it was snowing and had a very difficult time getting our cars up that 1st night. The next day however the drive was plowed and cindered. The steps into the house and access to the wonderful hot tub were icy and rather treacherous to navigate. A coffee maker, as opposed to the Kuerig would be appreciated. The house itself was ideal for our group and the views from and the fireplace in the great room were lovely. We had to purchase wood for the fireplace since the firewood provided was very wet. Despite my minor complaints I would rent this house again. Manchester had much to offer and we enjoyed some fine restaurants and art galleries, as well as the fabulous bookstore. Summer would probably be a good season here as well as there appeared to be good hiking in the area. Chris was very receptive to concerns and responsive when informed of the driveway issue.
