We stayed for two nights with our toddler while moving house and it was the perfect escape from the stress. The lodge was clean, cosy and peaceful, with beautiful surroundings and everything we needed for a relaxing family break. We left feeling refreshed and would definitely stay again.

Stayed here overnight as we were having a birthday dinner at Jeremy Clarkson's Farmer's Dog pub, which is around 8 minutes' drive away. The Lodge is ideally located to explore the Cotswolds, in a quiet part of a small village. Quirky property, really interesting decor, bright and airy with lots of natural light, very clean, with comfy beds, very well-equipped apart from a couple of things (outlined below). Nice to have teabags, coffee, sugar and fresh milk provided. Easy to gain access - a code is sent to you the morning of your arrival - and there is private, secure parking with an electric charging point.
We were only there overnight but ran out of toilet paper and couldn't find any more! Yes, we could have asked (the owner's property is right next door), but we didn't want to make a fuss as it was late at night. A bit of kitchen roll or disposable cloths for wiping up the kitchen would also have been a good idea. The proximity of Brize Norton also means there were a few very low (loud) military planes overhead, but this wasn't overbearing at all. Not moaning, just a couple of things which could have made it better still!

Decor, location , owner easily contactable and the reasonable price.
No milk, although tea & coffee av.
TV far too small. & stand broken. Put was not flagged up by previous guests or cleaners.

I liked the rustic look of the property and the openness of the living area.
The lack of heating, we were unable to turn the heating on/up we were absolutely freezing to a point our hands and faces were so cold but we slept in our hoodies and trousers and we were fine
