Ella Elissa - Adults Only

The hotel itself was very beautiful, the room was comfortable, and the service was good. A special bonus was that room service was also included in the all-inclusive package.

The Filipino staff were always very kind and polite, but they often misunderstood our orders, or part of the order was missing. For example, when we ordered coffee with milk, the milk didn’t arrive, or when we ordered a Coke with ice, the ice was missing. The hotel’s beach also didn’t really look like it did in the photos, and the separation between the family area and the adults-only area was not properly enforced. Children were often playing in the sand right in front of us in the adults-only section, and we also saw children walking around the adults-only area on several occasions. The service in the restaurant was also inconsistent. On several evenings we were told there were no available tables on the terrace, even though there were free tables—they simply hadn’t been cleared. On one occasion at lunch, we waited more than an hour for a salad and a Greek yogurt to be served.

The hotel is large, beautiful, and well-maintained. There are several pools, all of which are well maintained. There is an abundance of food and drinks.

It’s very difficult to get a table in the restaurants. In addition, there were many power outages that stopped the air conditioning at night, so it was very hot.

We had a great time in Hotel Elissa. We loved it is adult only and vary spacious - both in the pool area and also the beach. the sunbeds are large and comfortable (compared to other hotels where sunbeds are way too many and peole are really cramped into small spaces). there are many pools and everyone can choose if they prefer quiet area or more lively - this is great!! We liked and used the gym daily and the yoga sessions in the morning which were free of charge. We enjoyed the all inclusive packages which comes without compromises, excellent cocktails and tasty food at any point of the day, incl. meals by the pool and room service. Will come back at any point! The location is also good for a quick beach espace, we took 25-30mins in taxi from the airport and literally were laying by the pool 1 hour after landing. For a visit to Rhodes city we took a bus that took ~20mins (depending on traffic always).

The hotel uses an app to book eg. fitness sessions (usually 10-15EUR) and also dinners in the a la carte restaurants (included in All inclusive package). This is a good idea but we struggled with it - reservation for dinner was impossible to get, everything was outbooked except for the last night (we stayed 5 nights) and there was no option for waiting list. If the program changed (fitness classes), you need to proactively go and check in the app, since there is no cancellation message or other notification. Otherwise the customer service is excellent but the app and related reservation processes need some tweaking. Mosquitos in room - reception provided solution swiftly, much appreciated! The staff by the pool bars needs some training ... clearly they are asked to accept orders and invite customers to sit, but when you just want to greab a water, coffee or cocktail and go, it's hilariously complicated. 1 waiter writes your order down on paper, you NEED TO SIT, the order is placed eletronically on the bar, barman makes it (after multiple clarification what is mean with the waiter), then once completed waiter starts looking for the seated customer, to realize something is incomplete or wrong, and customers stil goes back to the bar to clarify ... Why can't I just walk to the bar and order? The barmans were excellent and know their job well, the waiters struggle to take the simplest orders right (coffee with milk, NOT cafe latte). This was annoying but everyone is so nice, smily and apologetic you cannot really be mad ... It's just an area I would look into as a 4* hotel. Taxi from airport was 32EUR, but 44EUR when called by reception ... The main restaurant meals are rather repetivive, make sure you reserve your a la carte restaurants to switch it up a bit!

This was a wonderful treat of a girls’ mini break. It is stylish hotel with lovely rooms, friendly staff, a calm mellow vibe and I absolutely loved it. Recommend.

Nothing I disliked but slight comments are that the pools were cold (it was early May so not warm enough for sun to heat them) and the wine wasn’t to my taste
