Great location, very well equipped kitchen, spacious and clean property. Air con which was very good was another €50 when we got there - well worth it because it was hot during our stay in August

The electrics tripped quite a few times so we tried avoiding using the washing machine and dishwasher at the same time which seemed to be the issue

We loved this villa - it was spacious and clean. Great pool - so clean. Had everything needed for 6 people. It's location was perfect. So quiet with the pool area backing on to a forest. We could walk to a nearby restaurant called L'Orange (excellent menu - delicious food). We could also walk into Carvoeiro which had an excellent range of cafes, restaurants, shops and ice cream parlours. We appreciated being able to securely park the car and stow bikes inside without getting in anyone's way. The host, who lived next door was so nice and relaxed and was happy for us to knock if there was any problems. Excellent price too for 6 people.

The outdoor washing machine - it needed instructions. We struggled to get it to work properly but appreciated the drying spaces on the rear patio.

The villa was in a very quiet and peaceful location. It had a lovely pool area to sit around and enjoy breakfast in the sunshine. The whole villa was very spacious, on two floors though we only used the ground floor. It was very well equipped if you wanted to cook meals. Maria was very welcoming and left us a few provisions (and wine) for our arrival which was great as we arrived late evening. It was an easy drive into Caroviero where there were lots of restaurants and plenty of supermarkets in nearby Lagoa. Lots of great walks and scenery and loved the seven hanging valleys trail.

We came on holiday late February, and although the days were warm, the evenings were cold. The villa was very cold although there was a wood burner in the lounge and a heater in the main bedroom. The wood burner took a while to get going and didn't really warm the house. We could have done with extra heaters as there was no central heating. It was not too much of a problem as we ate out every night (would have been a bit cold to stay in). However if you are coming in summer, it would be lovely and cool. The local restaurant was closed in the evening so we had to drive everywhere but not a problem as only a few minutes drive into Carvoiero where there are plenty of restaurants
