We enjoyed staying in this property, it’s quirky but well looked after, easy to recommend.

The view over the Tuscan plain to the lake and hills in the distance was wonderful. Beds were comfortable and the place felt homely.

We didn’t use the cooking facilities so can’t comment. The Spa bath had no instructions so we couldn’t work out how to get to get water hot enough to use it. The TV was missing its remote.

Incredible views over the valley. Best of both worlds - quiet and beautiful spacious gardens, but close to city gates, short walk to Piazza Repubblica. An amazing historic home. Warm, cosy, lovely spaces within the house with stone walls and windows framing gorgeous vistas. Comfortable beds, spacious bedrooms. Cute bathrooms with pretty tiles. Useable kitchen, authentic and plenty of equipment. The hosts left olive oil, salt, etc. for our use which was lovely.

This beautiful villa has every amenity you could need and is a short walk to the old city.

This beautiful villa is very close to the city walls . Be prepared to walk uphill a lot to visit Cortona but the experience at the top is so worth it. This property has every modern convenience and the views of the countryside are spectacular. You will enjoy your vacation here !

Relaxing place with beautiful views. We would stay here again

The location was fabulous with breath-taking views. The house is just outside the walls of Cortana, either a walkable ( uphill) or easy drive (to an easier walk) into the town. Also easy drive to Assisi and other towns nearby. The bedrooms were spacious and beds very comfortable. If you read the description carefully, you’ll realize that one bedroom is on the main floor with a full bath that is also on the main floor but in the front hall. The second bedroom is up 13 steep steps, fine for us but difficult for those with small children or with disabilities. The second bathroom is in what we would call the basement—again down steep steps. It has a very big, deep tub and a handheld spray if you don’t want to run a full bath. Kitchen was decently stocked—no microwave but a decent coffee maker. Smallest dishwasher we’ve ever seen tucked under the sink.

If you are driving a car, the turn to the house is extraordinarily narrow! We found that turning a “street” before was easier and then taking a hairpin turn to get to the house was easier than turning on the correct street. Once there, the parking was great.

Lovely old Tuscan house with well-equipped interior. Big gated garden with three separate sitting areas, ample parking space and fantastic views. two bottles of Cortona wine on arrival with a few tasty treats were greatly appreciated. Fab location- 10 min daily hike uphill to Cortona centre was very good for the leg muscles!

Beautiful house, breathtaking view!

This is a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Cortona and the surrounding areas. The house is convenient for a (steep) walk up to Cortona, but with plenty of space for parking a car. The house itself is stunning and decorated to a high standard, with excellent WIFI and air conditioning and everything you need for a home-away-from-home stay. We were greeted by the property management company close by, and then followed them down to the house, where everything was explained in good detail. The house is within a small community with a remote controlled gate so felt very safe. The view over the Tuscan/Umbrian countryside is simply breathtaking and we really enjoyed sitting out in the garden and just taking it all in.

A wonderfully peaceful retreat, just perfect for enjoying Cortona's beautiful setting at its best.

Without doubt the most outstanding feature of La Vista for us was the location - overlooking a private garden setting with superb hillside views extending from the lowers slopes of Cortona to distant Lake Trasimeno. A second distinctive feature was the unique and spacious character of the property, with today's 'mod cons' but preserving a traditional Tuscan style reflecting its origins as a small convent. A third plus was that, despite the peaceful surroundings, Cortona's lively Piazza della Repubblica was just a short (but steep) walk away.

The only slight frustration we had (as Oldies) related to the lack of bannisters on the two steep staircases. More comfortable seats in the 'lounge' area in the entrance hall would have encouraged us to use this rather than the kitchen/dining are for relaxation. Together in Tuscany were very helpful in resolving difficulties we experienced over accessing their offices and La Vista from/to Cortona train stations. We did not have a car and had learned beforehand that taxis can be hard to find in Cortona. Be prepared!

Surprise written all over it.

Surprise written all over our face. From the gate of the cottage garden past olive trees then to turn and see the view. WOW is not the word. There is no word for it. The property is just perfect. The kitchen is great, We we’re able to buy local produce down the hill (we had a car) and cook and eat either inside or out in the garden. Laundry down stairs in the basement along with another bathroom boasting a massive bath /spa with lighting to enhance the mood. Bedroom was quite and private. We used the ground floor one. The shutters on all window’s kept it dark and when all opened, so bright and warm,

There was nothing we did not like. There are two bedrooms. The master is amazing however if you are not good with stairs then maybe take the other one. Cortona is a hill side village and the walk into town is steep. We loved it and enjoyed the exercise.

perfect villa to enjoy the countryside of Tuscany and especially Cortona. large beds, comfortable room, outstanding private garden (space for cars) with dining table surrounded by olive trees… It is only 10 minutes walking from the centre of Cortona town. The view is unique. …a real dream location. the staff is nice and precise in everything. I will be back soon. I strongly recommend it.

There are amazing views from the house and the garden. The accomodation is nice and there is a beautiful garden which can be fully used especially during summer time. Also you can park a car there which is a great bonus.

Haus mit Charme und fantastischem Ausblick!

Die Lage des Hauses ist wundervoll! Es hat einen schönen Garten mit Olivenbäumen, verschiedenen Pflanzen und mehreren Sitzmöglichkeiten. Der Ausblick über das Land bis hin zum Trasimenosee ist traumhaft! Zu Fuß erreicht man bergauf die Innenstadt von Cortona. Das Haus hat Charme und man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an wohl. Die Heizung war bei unserer Ankunft bereits eingeschaltet und gerade zur kälteren Jahreszeit war es durchgehend warm in den Zimmern.

trotz der o.g. Ausstattungsdefizite wundervoll

die Lage ist aussergewöhnlich und das Haus hat einen unglaublichen Charme

zunächst gab es keinerlei Auflagen für die Gartenmöbel. Erst auf mehrmaliges Nachfragen wurden dann Auflagen gebracht. Das gleiche galt für wärmere Decken, da es nachts noch sehr kühl war und die Heizung bereits Ende April abgeschaltet war.
