Perfect short stay in Bologna

Good quiet location, close to a supermarket. Nice spacious apartment especially like the big shower with good water pressure, good kitchen facilities and modern interior. I had seen a lot of complaints about the check in being at a different location but it was no problem as everything was clearly stated on the booking information, and to check out you don’t need to take the keys back to the main hotel you can just leave them in the apartment.

No control over the interior heating - so it felt quite warm inside at times compared to my usual preference but not a huge issue.

Great facilities in Bologna

The ammenities in this property were excellent - it featured a well equipped kitchen and was modern and clean. It was a very short walk to the bus which allowed you to access all of Bologna with ease. The landmarks are all also within walking distance if you prefer to walk. Our room was ready early which meant we could check in straight away on arrival at no extra costs. Check in instructions from the host were clear

To check in, you have to collect your keys from another location. This is clearly communicated ahead of time

Value for money and quietness 🙏

The location was perfectly quiet and in a non-touristed part of Bologna (old town) very charming neighborhood.

That you have to check-in at Hotel Astoria - located +30 min. by walking or almost the same if you take a public bus + 15-18 EURO by taxi during the day time. Why not make an electronic (key-boxes) in front of the port into the apartments - and of course pre in-check (if) you're using booking.com (where passport and credit card details already are saved in the clients account!

Besides the staff and way to pick up keys it was okay.

The apartment in reality looks the same as in the pictures. It is clean and well equipped.

The staff is not kind. At 11:00 we were demanded to check out by cleaning lady and when we did it they just did not care and started cleaning different apartments. Next problem is place where you pick up keys to get into the apartment meaning that you go to hotel which is around 2,5 km from the location that you will stay in. The staff at the reception of the hotel is not kind, we were not informed earlier how much will be city tax- this information wasn’t included anywhere. On booking we could see that taxes and charges are included in the price but then the receptionist told us that there is also fee to cover out of booking.

Great stay

Very spacious apartment, located deeper in the property, so it was silent and with several additional entrances/gates, which increased security of the property. Also you can park your car inside, next to your apartment. For 2 adults and a kid it was a great place to stay. Also offering different amenities, small food store just around the corner.

If travelling by car, pick up point and apartment are a bit of a drive away (so for example, although a good offer for breakfast is offered in the main hotel, not very convenient). Shower was leaking through the doors/silicon, hope its fixed now. Otherwise - a wonderful stay.

Unsafe, do not stay here

Worst night stay of our lives, property relocated us last minute I.e. when we were getting onto our flight to Italy, to an alternative property which was no where near the quality of the photos. In addition we didn’t have a working lock on the front door so didn’t sleep a wink. When complained with the property no solution provided and no refund or even apology. Avoid this place by all means.

The employee at the check-in was very helpful and provided us with a lot of information.

The fact that the check-in point was 40 minutes away from the apartment. Especially if you don't have a car that means that you have to walk for 40 minutes to get to your apartment.

A bit further out than expected and a little difficult to find. I felt the check in staff were a little unwelcoming and slightly off. There should be a way to meet at the apartment to collect the keys rather than the 10 min taxi . Also direct contact with reception would be helpful.

The walk from the collection point of keys to the apartment was the opposite side of the city. This was not clear con booking.com just how far away it was and resulted in lots of confusion and wasted taxi fares and time back and forth to simply get keys. Very frustrating

Not a fan of the location. Up a back alley.

Very clean. Beds were comfortable.

The location was not what we expected. Key pick up was 10 mins walk from train station but apartments were 2km away. Had to take a cab. Entrance was through many gates and - if I were alone - I wouldn’t have felt entirely safe. Room looked into garbage in a back alley. Sink was wobbling away from the wall.

Good option in central Bologna!

You just need to be aware that pick up location is quite far from the actual apartments and to factor that in (especially if you have a lot of luggages). They write it pretty much in any communication so it wasn't an issue for me but something to take into consideration!

Passable

- clean & quite spacious - AC in both rooms - safe parking for 15€ (even though it was quite narrow to get there) - quick check-in - no need to give back keys at the far away hotel

- check-in was at a hotel at the other side of the city, with the car this was ok (~10 mins away) but on foot it would have taken ~ 30 mins - Room felt like a cellar as it only had a balcony door & a window very high up = very dark - shower gel & Shampoo holder had been broken down and nobody cared to fix it (even though one could still see where it had been as there were glue residues on the tiles) - toilet paper holder is too short for the toilet paper so it was always on the floor - bit noisy as the windows of the apartment were just on the way to the entrance of the neighbour house (a residental house I guess, as we met a mother with her two kids)

spacious, clean with a great shower

the hob would not get hot enough on the highest setting. we were only able to use 1 hob at a time as hobs would only get cooler. You could not boil pasta. Reported the problem. staff very unhelpful with advice. Did not do anything about the hob.

Cold and uncomfortable

It was cold at evening because at the beginning of May when we stayed there were raining all days and nights which we stayed there. But when first night we wanted to use air conditioner to hitting up our room we could not find remote control for it. When I call to reception they just said that hitting season is over so that is why they took remote controls. What a crazy explanation, that is not central hitting there that is air conditioner I payed for room and I want get comfort in all but could not. And was no warm blankets at that time and was no extra blankets. And when I asked to bring remote control or blankets they said that it's already to late and they can't do it. Only next day. Amazing service, isn't it???!!!?!! So next day we got remote control but air conditioner didn't work good. Not recommend stay there. It's also not comfortable if you stay there more then 3 person you just open door and it's already soda bed there not any furniture where to put your things and shoes. And not any window there just big glass entrance door And also it was no wine glasses.

Location is very good, about 15 minutes from the two towers in Bologna. The hotel service was very good. After reporting a complaint about a fungus in the room, service appeared within 15 minutes with the option of changing the apartment.

Worst bed I've ever slept on. The apartment is not suitable for 4 people, because the bed, or rather the sofa in the room with the kitchenette, is totally uncomfortable. It collapses, it creaks. My back hurt the entire stay. In suite 816 there was a giant fungus on the wall behind a curtain. After reporting the complaint, the staff allowed us to change the apartment. Unfortunately, in apartment no. 800 there was also a fungus, but smaller. The kitchen is minimally stocked, we had only 4 glasses for 4 people, we had to wash them after each use, no sharp knife in apartment 816, but no coffee maker in apartment 800. The dishwasher in apartment 816 was not working. The air conditioning in the annex room in apartment 816 was not working. If it wasn't for the fact that I was only in Bologna for 3 nights, I would demand a refund and look for a new apartment. I do not recommend. Watch out for this place. And I recommend the owners to walk around the apartments, see what fungus grows there, how many things are missing to comfortably spend time there and sleep on this uncomfortable bed.

Nice room not too far from the city center

The room was good - nothing to complain about. The location as is describe is 30min away from the reception desk but at the reception desk they explained how to find the room very well. Generally, I was happy from the room.

Room was not ready at 2:00pm and the stuff are a bit weird - I don't understand this part actually. Looks like they have a lot of paperwork to do always with each single person but it is not so big place to not be able to organize it somehow and make it better - but who knows? They are good people but a bit grumpy.
