Villa Terlanen

The pictures don't really do justice to just how special this location is. There are three beautiful ground floor apartments with a shared kitchen/dining area, below the main residence. The property is set back from the road in the woods and feels very secluded. The rooms are lovely, modern and clean, and the bathroom in my apartment was huge! I didn't choose the breakfast, but my fellow guests did and it looked incredible. There is a shared fridge in the kitchen to store a few items which was very useful. The evenings sat outside were very special. There is not too much to do around Terlarnen, but this was not a problem for me (I enjoy the seclusion). If you enjoy walking or cycling then this is the perfect base for you.

The only negative I found was that there was very little birdsong (other than the noisy ducks in the far distance). As a bird lover, I would have liked to have heard more, but maybe I was just unlucky - migration season has started.

De ligging en de omgeving.

L'architecture contemporaine de la villa est vraiment réussie. Nous n'en connaîtrons que le sous-sol où sont les chambres d'hôtes, chacune ayant sa propre salle de bains et sanitaires. Une cuisine dans un grand séjour où l'on prend petit-déjeuner et repas possibles. L'endroit est très calme, la décoration fonctionnelle, la literie excellente. Et enfin et surtout, les hôtes sont charmants.

La maison est vraiment dans les arbres, on n'y voit pas beaucoup le soleil. Un escalier assez raide est le seul moyen d'accès à la maison depuis le parking invités. Même bien éclairé, la prudence est de mise.

Geen tegenvallers! Het ontbijt was een standaard ontbijt, wat wel niet te vergelijken valt met een "hotel-ontbijt".
